Yes, it should be able to
No, you should know that the enemy will use hyper armor to counter it
His head is somewhat full of for honor science, and what do you think about deflect vs hyper armor?Originally Posted by AmonDarkGod Go to original post
Why should deflect ignore hyper armour when it should be the player's job to recognise when to use a deflect and when not? That's basicaly asking for a game mechanic to reward a player for making bad decisions, which is what Freeze points out.Originally Posted by AmonDarkGod Go to original post
The fact that most assassins need work isn't really a good enough excuse to just let all deflects ignore hyper armour and simply call it a day. The problems with heroes like Glad and PK aren't going to be solved by letting them deflect through hyper armour. You need to address the core of each assassin's problems otherwise those problems will remain.Originally Posted by AmonDarkGod Go to original post
Rather than giving all assassins a blanket get out of jail free card for poor decision making against hyper armour I would want to see more assassins being given 2 deflect options like what Orochi has. One being a normal deflect and the other option being a deflect that specifically defeats hyper armour such as a bash or having hyper armour itself but having a slower animation. This way there will be some actual depth added to deflect choices based on what the situation is.
It shouldn't. However there should be options for assassins. Ala Vakris suggestion.
Because in that case you'd need to know that the follow up would be a HA move. And if said option did exist then said player with chained HA could attempt to read your deflect attempt and then punish it via baiting it.
That's actually a pretty solid idea. However if they were to implement that, I'd prefer them take out zerks gb and replace it with two kit specific deflects like everyone would have. While making the heavy deflect for everyone be able to execute.Originally Posted by Vakris_One Go to original post
Freeze is extremely overrated, he doesn't account for everything and yet some sycophantic players pretend that he does. In fact, he's probably one of the reasons why Ubisoft nerfed the Shinobi into the ground without any compensation because his videos lacked acknowledgement of the Shinobi's vulnerabilities.Originally Posted by DeamonXII Go to original post
As far as Deflect, yes I believe that it should be able to counter Hyper Armor.
