How does an assassin catch up Ubi?

At this point im just so confused as to some of the decisions you guys have made regarding matchup balancing. You guys continuously reiterate that you want to remove the game from the defensive meta......yet turn around and put characters in the game that promote it. Im just going to use raider for example just because he's already something everyone complains about lol. Im an Orochi main, and I have found that I just cannot enjoy fighting against them. Raider has just about about everything an assassin has, but is much safer, and has better damage. The risk vs. reward with raider is 100% in his favor the entire match, Raider whiffs a light to get into his HA mixup, or he starts with his zone from neutral. Now on both of these openers to his mixups he has 4 different options, he can soft feint into a gb, soft feint into a stun tap that has an absolutely ridiculous animation, or let that 40+ damage heavy fly. Now lets say I get hit by only one of these lol, stun tap is almost guaranteed to get him follow up light on reflex guard characters, or it can open the door to more damage form his heavy and gb. or I could get gb and thrown into a wall for a guaranteed heavy, or carried and thrown into a wall for a knee to the face that will most likely put me oos. Mind you that after a knee, the zone still has a very high percentage of landing on a reflex guard hero. Now after looking at all this, what is raider risking by doing this? Am I going to parry his extremely hard to defend against stun tap for 32dmg? or parry the heavy for 2 top lights? or I counter the gb? All these options that raider has and the risk is almost non-existent if you don't have a hyper armor hero. Im using a class with the lowest health pool in the game and just took over 45+dmg from a 33/33/33 mixup that barely even has a risk factor...… And im expected to get up and make up all the health I lost by doing what???? Using my lights? Orochi, Pk, Nuxia, hell even shaman has trouble recovering form this now. After losing that much health and not having that much to begin with it just puts you in panic mode because you know you cant do anything about it but turtle. I just recentely started playing ranked again, and all my comebacks weren't from my counter aggression, it was because I could turtle well and was forced to rely on my parries. And these were against average players, when facing a truly skilled player that has 60+ reps on raider and can easily parry and shutdown everything I do you are just stuck. Jorm is the exact same way, I mess up once and be aggressive and go oos and eat 50+dmg immediately, and im supposed to just what? Pop back up and start swinging? NO! I understand that you all are trying to move towards an aggressive playstyle, I really do. But you are acting as if the rest of the cast can compete with this. What you all are calling Aggressive, I call Oppressive. Making Orochi's lights 66ms faster wasn't going to change a damn thing lol and you guys knew that, there's no way you didn't know that it wouldn't change anything. And its even worse for characters like pk because her damage is still horrible and she has to work20x as hard for the kill

I really want to know what your thought process is in the recent changes your implementing for some of these characters. Do you really think giving pk enhanced lights is going to make her better? Because I can tell your right now that pk still has no pressure because it can easily be shutdown by just turtling up and waiting till the bleed passes…..unless your playing raider or hito canust destroy her in two heavys.Part of the reason why she sucks is because her kit has no flow, enhanced lights wont really change that XD. I just don't get it anymore, when dealing with the assassins its almost like you'retrying to stay true to the character/class by not really changing anything. But.....with raider that wasn't the case, with JJ that wasn't the case, with jorm, hito, etc. All these character are waaaay outside their designated class but are amazing and viable. But.... you cant give a proper change to orochi? You don't want to give LB hyper armor because "its not his character". I don't get it. Im not trying to come off as disrespectful or anything, its just frustrating seeing the obvious changes that need to be made and devs just dodge around them to try something else. But if you guys are lost, if you don't know what changes to make, just say that. Don't say "oh we made orochi's light's 66ms faster and this should help him a lot!" When you know full well he needs much more than that. Also I am wondering why you guys haven't said anything about un-parriable attacks?? I would like to see a well implemented attack like this instead of the "faaster and more damage is better" thing you guys are doing now. Because I can guarantee you guys this, as long s those type of characters are paired up against an obsolete character then the obsolete will turtle, its literally a given. I personally think you guys need to rethink your concept of aggression, because in my book the only aggression that is healthy is aggression that incentivizes counter aggression. If you keep on this oppressive route, things are only going to get worse.

Lol okay, I done *****ing and whining. I really do like this game, one of the most unique and ambitious games ive ever played. It can truly be a masterpiece and go down in history and I hope one day it will.

If you just turtle up and wait for the bleed to pass, she'll have a free pass to her chain 400ms light, which is mostly free damage. You could say she will become predictable and more easily parried, but heavies and their options will punish that. It kind of forces action from the opponent. Kind of. The change is good, just not good enough.

Assassins as a whole should get static guard. Nothing less. Either that, or every hero's guard should get standardized. Reflex guard as it is is unneeded, outdated, too much of a disadvantage.

yes it makes it easier for her to attack, but when you have bad offense what good does it due? she still gets shutdown with ease. I literally was doing it last night, shes still just as predictable as before, except this time you know shes going to keep coming at you.

They don't. It is year of the heavy/vanguard. After the last hero comes angmd goes we may see sonething. The best way to get them to do anything is flood the data. Just use bp, hito, and jorm. Once other heroes pick rates drop, the win rate drops. Once it drops far enough, they are forced to do something. You want change? Change your main.
