Hey. I actually managed to come up with some idea for pushing this story forward a bit. It's mostly going to be explaination how lore of two franchises are connected. I hope it makes sense. :P

I didn't run it through any spellchecking program or anything, because I'm not an Agent with tech to do it for me and I'm just freakin' lazy to do it myself.
So if you look over mishaps I did and stuff, I hope you'll enjoy it.

I decided to mix into this Ghost team as mere cameo, because why not?
The newest DLC that happens in NY wasn't in my mind when I slowly (read as: letter per day ) wrote this, I expanded story with hint towards including story of this DLC in the future (when I'll actually buy this DLC to know what happened there).
I decided to make my Sheriff a female, since I play as female character in game. Maybe if I find some good Sam Fisher model that works in Blender I could render him and photoshop him into screenshot to make it look like it was all in game. I wish, 'cuz I believe I'm not that bad in 3D and I'd like a challange of matching the light work of render to the background that is ingame screenshot (or photo, since it has better options ;D)

The story is in next post.

From all benefits and duties from being a SHD recruit, guard duty was the worst in Mary's opinion. Sit near the barricade, do nothing while JTF guards pay closer attention to area outside of the White House perimeter, every now and then go to them to inform them when agent approaches. And beside that nothing. Just boring sitting on guard duty with nothing to do.
She can't even read a damn book to kill time.
Good thing is that after few weeks since Washington fell, there was surge of active agents coming to White House meaning she would receive a signal more often than before to stir the boredom a bit.
And she just did. Her watch vibrated twice, so she pulled up her sleeve to see the notification. Lenses on her eyes, another piece of SHD tech that was a must for being able to use that watch, picked up the holographic display of the Washington map with her in the center and two signals approaching the barricade from up front.
"SHD First Wave signature detected." ISAC said making Mary frown. There weren't any First Wave agents in DC. She checked both signals which revealed them to be agents of First and Second Wave. Sheriff and unknown agent.
She got off the chair she sat on and jogged to JTF near the edge of barricade informing him of approaching agents, but warning them to stay alert. Something wasn't right here and with recent tactics Black Tusk was doing it was better to be prepared for anything.
So she aimed her rifle at two figures approaching them.
After tense half of second she ordered everyone to stand down.
It was Sheriff. And someone in black tactical suit that she never seen before.
    ---------------------
Almost as soon as they entered the perimeter of White House they've been approached by another Agent. Alani Kelso, currently second top agent residing in WH.
"I see you started making friends with superheroes now." she said while her eyes scanned Fisher. With ISACs help she picked up the SHD signal coming from him as well as several "Classified information" signs which wasn't something she saw often. "Alani Kelso, Division Agent."
"Sam Fisher. Head and Operative of NSA's Forth Echelon." he replied and reached to his OpSat granting her access to some information regarding him and his Echelon.
If they're going to cooperate, some informations needed to be shared. And according to Anna Grimsdottir, his eyes in network, and Charlie Cole, his ears in network, Shade Technology was safe enough for some sensitive informations to be shared without risking it leaking to wrong people.
"NSA? I thought you guys just spy on telephones and computers, not go into wild in fancy suit." Kelso remarked, eyeing him as info about him popped up for her to see.
"That was job of Second Echelon before they had to deal with more data than they could process." Sam explained "Third Echelon followed idea of getting to the source of the sensitive data and taking it out without owner's knowledge. You know, Black Ops."
"So super spy, huh?" she replied and waved at them to follow "But you said you're from Forth Echelon?"
"Indeed. It has been created on remains of Third." Sam answered, but didn't dwelve into details and Alani didn't pry further on that topic.
"But why I'm getting a SHD First Wave signature from you?" she asked instead.
"Technically speaking half of your tech is based on what we used." a new voice on comms spoke up "I'm Grimsdottir, Fisher's reconnaissance support."
"Okay." Kelso said but got slightly suspicious, ISAC should inform them of intrusion like this. Unless what this Grimsdottir said was true and they could manipulate SHD Tech way better than SHD Agents themself.
They entered the White House and headed to east wing, to Ortega. While he wasn't exactly a commanding officer, he was acting as one in DC.
Fisher's attire drew attention of many people. Not everyday you see someone in black tactical suit walking around the White House. Most people dressed like this were on the streets of DC harrassing the Division and any other group that wasn't part of their group, the Black Tusk. Of course some Agents did wear clothing similar to BTs to draw less atention from them when on the field, which resulted in tense indentification process everytime they returned. Since stranger was near Agents Kelso and Sheriff (no one knows the real name) no one questioned him being here.
"Black Tusk activity in West End detected. Notifying nearest operatives." someone said out loud, while others relayed informations further.
"Those guys are partialy the reason why I am here." Sam said
"If not the Black Tusk then what else could be here?" Alani asked, used to Sheriff being strong silent type.
"I'll explain once we meet your commanding officer."
"Huh. Commanding... Yeah, well, it's him." she said pointing at man who stood in front of a map with few toys placed on it, deep in thought. "Hey, we have a guest Manny."
That got Manny jump a bit, as he looked around until he noticed the approaching trio.
"Oh? Hi, I'm Manny Ortega, Division Coordinator." he said reaching his hand to Fisher who accepted it "I never seen you around."
Manny, similarly to Alani before, scanned him from head to toes and read briefly some info that SHD showed around him. NSA director in the field? And marked as First Wave Agent?
Sheriff left them for the time of introductions and headed to infirmary. She was asked by the doctor to look for medicament for asthmatics, which she managed to find during her patrol.
As she returned floor gone dark from holographic overlay, making her stumble a bit. It looked similar to older generation world map, yet also looked more advanced. The walls also got covered with overlay making people standing in the room look out of place as overlay didn't affect them.
Kelso and Manny quickly noticed that except them and approaching agent, no one else in the room seemed to notice this.
On one wall appeared images of few people and places in U.S. along with names. The most prominent ones were American Power Guam, American Consumption, American Freedom and American Fuel. All under even more highlighted words that brought back the memories.
    The Blacklist.
As for people the most of names were followed by note DECEASED, except one. Majid Sadiq, next to his name was just CLASSIFIED.
"As you remember, back in 2012 we faced a terrorist attack from group known as the Engineers. Man named Sadiq was in charge of Operation Blacklist." Fisher explained "Thanks to good coordination and planning Special Forces managed to stop most of their acts. The capture of the leader was tasked to the Fourth Echelon."
"So you killed him?" Manny asked, at what the words CLASSIFIED pulsed red "Oh, right."
"The problem lays in fact that, the Operation Blacklist involved many people of the group known as the Engineers, but not all of them. To this day our task is to hunt them down."
"And they have something to do with the Black Tusk" Kelso deduced.
"Indeed. They worked through some proxies to get goverment's approval of creating the Black Tusk Special Unit. While they're a private military, they needed approval to operate on american soil. Officially it's a Unit made out of 40 people and technically speaking their tasks are to do exactly the same thing you're doing, but only in case you failed."
"And we all can tell that they don't exactly follow that plan." Manny commented.
"Beside retrieval of Broad-Spectrum Antiviral, extracting the President and neutralizing all threats in D.C. for re-establishing the government and restart the civilization, they had few more tasks that very few of the BTSU is aware of. Getting codes to access the top secret files, establishing a 'new dynasty' starting by crippling the US to the point where it will not be a superpower anymore and of course controlling the US along with the rest of the world nations."
"Damn. And I thought they couldn't be any worse than they are already." Manny muttered at that. "But is the Green Poison also their doing?"
"No. Dr. Gordon Amherst wasn't connected with all of this. They used the outbreak he started as a stepping stone for their new operation. As far as I know the goals are the same as with the Blacklist, it's the approach that changed."
"No wonder they decided to go with an army this time. Too bad the virus took most of our best and then Ridgeway stirred his own **** attracting others like flies to said..." Kelso said, but got interrupted by new male, unbodied voice.
"Mostly we did the job, others just ran in circles chasing false leads." voice said.
"Charlie!" Grim's voice was filled with disapproval.
"Oh, woops. Sorry." the apology sounded sincere at least.
Sam just sighed. Charlie for all he's good for or even best, he sometimes just can't keep his mouth shut. Especially if it's something he can brag about. It was good thing that this intel was revealed only to those three who he decided to trust the most.
"Like my childish tech support mentioned..." Sam got interrupted by Charlie's complaint
    "Hey, not cool."
"...thanks to effort of our team we put stop to the Blacklist. They learned on their mistakes and now instead of small cells they use an army."
"You don't have enough operatives to fight an army and they know it?" Manny asked, suspecting he knows the answer.
    "That's right." Sam confirmed.
"It's easy to see you're understaffed like us, if director goes into the field." Kelso commented, gaining a scowling look from Fisher.
"I never liked working from behind the desk." he said, but noted in his head that she wasn't exactly wrong at that hint of their possible agent count.
Then again, after Isaac Briggs proved himself and became operating on solo missions, they have only three active operatives in the field. The third one is Mikhail Loskov, alias Kestrel, former Voron operative, who returned to them after a year saying that he wants to help the world and he (Fisher) is a man of focus, commitment and sheer will, incorruptible and willing to do what he must to keep world safe.
Right now Briggs was in N.Y.C. already establishing the contact with local Division agents, while Kestrel was gone under radar to find and recruit a team known as Ghosts for the time of this crisis, which wasn't easy since CIA broke apart and lost contact with their assets around the globe due Dolar Flu.
"Other agent is currently in New York, preparing to go with joint operations to hunt down one of your ex-agents." Sam decided to share this, as they no doubt would learn this through their own channels anyway.
"Keener." if venom in Kelso's voice was real it would melt through the floor.
"So what's your job here?" Manny asked after few seconds he needed to calm himself as well.
"For now I'm willing to provide additional intel and recon within Black Tusk's operations in D.C. . To find their operatives known as Bardon Schaeffer, Dolores Jones, Gabriel "Nightcap" Simmons and Angela "Argo" Anderson." Fisher explained while the pictures of said people appeared on other side of the room, opposite to the images related to the Blacklist.
"Wow. Even we couldn't get intel on some of them." Ortega whistled looking at the pictures of Fisher's targets "I assume you will kill them once you find them?"
"Interrogate if possible, first. There are few more people from the Engineers who aren't part of BTSU and have no leads to them, except knowing they exist. Those people could grant as some leads to finally end them and restore order in the country."
"Alright, sounds good. So where do we start?" Kelso said eagerly with Sheriff nodding in approval to her words.
"First we will upgrade your tech to block completely Black Tusk from spying on you." Charlie spoke and Fisher nodded to that, making Ortega look at Fisher and Sheriff in amusement.
