I was just curious about the beta's age is all. Wondering how much has changed from what we played.Originally Posted by RAMBOW145 Go to original post
I did take a screenshot in the main menu for the build number in the bottom right hand corner but accidently deleted some shots. The only way any of us gamers will know will be 1st October. My guess is they will be fixing bugs and I personally can't see the game changing that much from the closed beta. Post game changes is obviously yet to be seen. It's all guess work from me though.Originally Posted by Ohnoozer Go to original post
You got to think about it, a beta released 2 months before the official game release date, the beta build is probably 8 months old, who really knows cos the do not give us a (beta build 1.2.3) within the game & this close to launch the game is already boxed & ready to ship to outlets, it's final touches time in reality, unless they have listened to all the complaints and will push back the release date until they really sift through and sort it out.
Good question - All I can do is provide my educated guess:
The closed beta provided something of a good outlook of what is to come. We got a piece ripped straight out of the QA build from a few weeks ago - probably with some smaller fixes from some dev build. Because polishing builds for regular customers requires some finesse at least =) -> that's at least what I think.
The issues and bugs I've encountered during the CB were nothing new or unexpected. Most prominently I saw weirded out vehicle physics, broken / misplaced animations and some map teleportation issues. I do not want to downplay any issues - to be crystal clear. It was distracting. Especially the item placement issues (where your animation got triggered and dropped you off inside obstacles) reuired me to commit seppuku way too often. However - most things went as expected, and I frickin' loved it. Not gonna lie ;D
In conclusion - I would say it's not the most recent one, that would just be scary risky to me. The final RELEASE day version (including the day 1 patch - if there is one obviously) will be way more stable and has (hopefully) finalized assets (meaning a perf boost), a launch stable server architecture behind it and will probably reasonably fast in terms of networking. But the way I see it - Ubisoft is planning to maintain this platform way beyond launch day. So we should also expect better builds further down the line - until the DLC drops heheh ;D
Have a gr8 week y'all
