Another good drone spot I always use is on Skyscraper.
- Head on over to Taiko/drum room (speaking of this drum, many don’t know that you can punch it and it actually makes the appropriate drum noise)
- Jump onto the little display case against the wall straight down the little stairs
- Jump from here up onto the crossbows on the wall and then onto the frame of the crossbow's display
- Face south and jump on top of the tall wine rack
Good for keeping an eye on rotations in this area and the 1st floor heading to elevators.
Also, in 1st floor delivery room there are three lights handing from the ceiling. You can jump up on top of these lights for a nice view of this area, and people don’t often notice drones here.
Another drone tip for Skyscraper is that you can get up into the rafters of every room in 2nd floor office area by jumping on various things.
When defending clubhouse armory, I often like to tote a shotgun into battle and blow out as much of the soft floor surrounding the reinforced kitchen hatch as possible. Then, I'll blow out a strip at the top of the wall you face when exiting the wide door in church. Doing this, I often find I can defend the kitchen hatch from thermite pretty easily while staying in church. Maybe even toss an impact so that it hits the kitchen's prep table near hatch, destroying any kairos pellets or pesky Texan dynamite charges that manage to get planted.
Definetly one of the most underutilized destructible walls in siege. While i find breaching it too obvious i like shooting out a small part of it when i took break room and wanna have a line of sight on east stairs flanks.Originally Posted by kamakazimerc1 Go to original post
To stay on border a little spawnpeek thats underutilized(i know "meh spawnpeeks" but if anything you can counter it now and dont have to die to it): Making bullet or punch holes in tellers outter wall creates a nice anfle on anyone sprinting on the street from east spawn. Good thing as well that sound is actually quite clear in that part of the map and you will hear if someone took a left from spawn and is running towards the window.
Similarly, if you take your drone to the wide door just inside of the 3 main entrance doors, you can jump up onto one of the pamphlet holders on the wall to the left of this door, then onto the television on the wall and finally up to the opening above the wide door. Gives you a great view of lobby, behind the teller's desk, into one of the teller's office doors, elevator, top floor and runouts from main entrance.Originally Posted by kamakazimerc1 Go to original post
Yeah, I spend a lot of time jumping around looking for drone spots high off the ground. Always figured if a drone is above eye level, it's less likely to be seen, and that's true a lot of the time.
Their value is completly under rated. Much better to save it vs just jumping around waiting to be shot.Originally Posted by DarthCynical Go to original post
A couple drone spots I always tend to use on Border are as follows:
Security room
- First, head over to the window that goes out to west balcony and jump as high as you can onto the bookshelf right next to it
- Jump from here to the top of the window sill
- From here, if you face west and look along the wall, you'll see a tall, narrow, grey metal housing for the wires that run from the boomerang shaped table to the monitors on the wall, just to the left of the window. Jump onto the top of that and turn your drone to face east
This drone spot is hard to see because of the surveillance monitors all over and has a great view of pretty much this whole area. It's even better if your attacking armory and the defenders decide to blow out the soft wall in security so the can monitor it with a Mira from obj.
Rooftop/2nd floor offices
- Either rappel up or just throw your second drone onto the roof
- Just north of the skylight above waiting room is a large dome with a bunch of openings that sits right above 2nd floor office
- jump your drone onto one of those openings, without falling down into the obj
- If you look down, you'll see a circular platform just below the gaps on the roof, carefully jump or drive your drone down onto that platform
You can circle your drone around this whole platform for nearly complete coverage of the office obj, other than a couple small spots a person can hide.
One more...
1st floor main lobby
- drive into the passport check room
- look on the north wall and you’ll see... I believe it's a queue spot ticket dispenser, jump onto that
- from here, turn east and jump onto the little shelf the television is sitting on
- Lastly, hop on up to ventilation ducts along the ceiling
This spot is great, and pretty much covers any kind of attempted rotation to either staircase. From on top of the ducts, you can actually jump your drone right on top of defenses cctv camera in main lobby. You can drive along the ducts and park it in front of a little window near the ceiling that lead into workshop for a nice view of that obj.
