Ideas for the future of For Honor

For Honor is a unique game when compared to other competitive multiplayer games out there. For that reason, it is to me a pretty solid game. But I see a lot of potential for growth utilizing the core combat mechanics that For Honor offers.

A new game can be created using the combat mechanics, hero designs, and fighting styles that For Honor brought to the gaming scene.

So humor me for a while when I say, why not delve into creating a 4 player co-op experience? Similar to the game model of Destiny and Destiny 2, where players can engage in both 4 player co-op missions(strikes, dungeons, etc.) AND classic competitive multiplayer that exists currently in For Honor.

Out with redundant story mode missions and in with 4 player co-op dungeons in which players face of against hordes of enemies, on a variety of different maps and mazes, eventually leading up to a face off with the final boss at the end of each dungeon. And of course upon defeating the boss, there will be rewards of gear, loot, steel, what have you..

Having a wide variety of dungeons to play through is key. As well as having a variety of different enemies and bosses to fight against. I’d pay for for that DLC.
I imagine fighting bosses would be much like fighting the “guardians” in breach mode. But why stop at fighting giant warriors? Why not fight against dragons, golems, trolls, vampires and other legendary foes.. Just an idea. With the combat system of For Honor, it could be an epic game.

Humor me once more when I suggest a change when creating your heroes.
In For Honor we currently have the 25 heroes to choose from, divided by their given factions. For this new idea for a game, we do away with the dividing factions and keep only the fighting styles that each hero possesses. So when creating your new hero you can customize that hero’s look (hair, armor, clothing, accessories etc.) but also choose what fighting style that you want them to have.
For example you can equip your hero with knight styled armor with a cape and no helmet and have them fight like an orochi. They’d still have to use the weapon type for that fighting style, in this case a katana, but everything else would ideally be customizable.

Idk folks, just thinking you can take a lot of the good ideas that For Honor brought to the table and make a seriously epic game.

Id like to see some unique military styled campaigning

Honestly, this game could be EXTREMELY successful if they would implement a mod around a Dynasty Warriors campagning. one in which, groups of players can save their campaigns and play up to 8 players, attacking strategic cities in each of the provinces....

Each hero gets his own banner which his troops carry into battle. Troops are finite, numbers being upgradable through perks. if your troops die and you the only one left on the battlefield surrounded by enemy troops, start hackin!

Each player can attack different zones within the city, taking out mini bosses, or other players who hold those positions, and take over that zone... when that zone is captures, your troop numbers increase through reinforcements, and can spawn from that location as well.

Continuing to a grand boss, or player stronghold within that city. When the battle for that city is over, it cannot be fought over again for four hours.

Provinces must be on the "battlefront" to be invaded... etc.

I just think there is SO MUCH MORE potential than just being a fighter that has no competitive scene.

If Ubi doesnt want to promote the competitive scene properly, then promote it as a full fledge campaign PVE/PVP title with invasions and actual war... not just a map that poses as a screensaver most of the time.

I'm all for a For Honor RPG. Hope it becomes a reality someday.

This would be a good way to handle the faction war in realtime. That could be the endgame for the RPG when the story is finished. This franchise could easily do both PVP & PVE really well.

What I would like to see them is slowly expand:

    - A hub world where players can interact with each other
    - And trade with each other
    - Slowly but surely add small open world maps and with each map, they increase the size and it's content
    - Dungeons and raids
    - Dragons
    - World bosses
