I just found my minimum. It's 6026! Just fought someone who beat me when I was at 6027. He was in silver, so I would normally have lost more than 50 in such a situation, but I only lost 1 instead!

Actually, using your above calculation, I thought my minimum was closer to 6010 or so, but that was more because I couldn't remember what my previous season high was. I just knew I was closer to 6700 than I got above 6700 this season, so I knew I was guaranteed to stay in legendary.

Perfect Once you are safe in legendary, you can relax a bit since there is no risk of losing rewards before the reset.

I really wish they would let you see your current floor though, since its based on both the current season max and last seasons.
