Hi. Instead of creating 10 different posts with small issues / feedback, I'm bundling it all together in a single post. Some are silly, some are annoying.
Character customization: I felt like the game had very little variations in the female character faces. All of them looked pretty same. When I compare it with male faces, male ones are varied.
Opening scene: The blood flowing down the main character's face - looked like ketchup really.![]()
HUD bug: pressing tab was acting differently at different times. Sometimes it was only hiding the active mission details at top left, but still showing map and stats at bottom of screen. But other times, it was hiding all of that from screen.
Prone bug: Pressing C to go into prone mode wasn't working at several places; even on open fields.
Interaction range: Whenever I'm near anything that can be interacted with (E to Open / Investigate), the item seems to have a very narrow field within which I need to be in to do said interaction. Even then, pressing E sometimes does nothing. I press E, the character moves like it is going to open the chest and then does nothing. I have to do this repeatedly multiple times to open the chest. Makes me wonder whether it is "press" or "hold" E.
Hide behind cover: Is there some key that I'm missing or is the character supposed to auto-hide behind cover? This was the most inconstant behavior I observed. Sometimes when I'm trying to walk out a door, the character snaps to the side of the door, hiding. But when in combat situations and I want to hide behind a crate or something, the character doesn't do it. Most of the time. Sometimes it does hide, but I have no idea what triggers that. And when that is working, the shooting angles are very weird and I can't shoot properly. The Division does this thing perfectly.
Onboarding instructions: At point point, I got a bunch of combat instructions (hold breath key and some more tips) in the middle of combat, which was very distracting. Yes, those instructions would've greatly helped me. But I surely can't start reading and memorizing them in the middle of a gunfight!! There should a better way of presenting that info.
Finding enemy: When I'm walking into enemy compound and some guard sees me, the alert direction icon that shows up on-screen is kinda invisible. That icon blends in with the background most of the time, making it impossible to figure out which direction the guard is in.
[sudden end of post. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ]
For me, there are two QOL things that would greatly improve the mae, and seem like they could be easy fixes. One would be to improve the Night vision, or offer different filters, like they did with Wildlands. And the second is speed up the animation to pick up a body. The whole purpose of being able to pick up dead bodies, was to avoid detection, but half the time I tried doing it, I would end up getting spotted, because you are stuck in the animation took so long, and by the time you're able to use your sidearm, and eliminate the threat, the entire base is already on full alert.
Fully agreed, it is ridiculously slow, and you can't throw said picked up bodies over a fence that's even less than knee high, like it hits the 'invisible' fence that apparently stands sky high above it (attempted at the docks, Smugglers cove coast)Originally Posted by Megalodon26 Go to original post
Other small but annoying issue I found was long range sniping, is it just because it's in beta (PS4) being the main reason the graphics were so cartoonish at long distances? Anything beyond 300m became almost a toon/lego looking character down scope (6x), I surely hope that's not going to be the case in the actual game as it was pretty disappointing.
