So animated no. Functional in that they offer added stability, range and accuracy. at the cost of handling yes. Those exist in game.Originally Posted by LaMOi Go to original post
Yes I have already answered that question.Originally Posted by mesh_actual Go to original post
YOu don't clamp to the ground with a bipod IRL It forms a support. Most snipers and many machinegunners don't carry them anymore, as they aren't exactly practical in many situations. Finally considering how long it takes Nomad to reload and transition from primary to secondary, I don't really want him to have to try and deploy a bipod. It would be some 15sec animation that will get you killed as an Azrael will start to fly over as soon as you start the animation and you will have no choice but to ride it out as the Azrael detects you and drops flairs. You will finally get that bipod deployed as the first wolves open fire on your position.Originally Posted by LaMOi Go to original post
I mean if Nomad won't stop bandaging to shoot at the unfriendly visitor that has come around his cover and will die from incoming shots while studiously bandaging himself, I really don't see bipod animations being any better.
Yes it is stat boost, and a negative on mobility.
Is your complaint that you can’t cancel the animation once started?Originally Posted by Bone_Frog Go to original post
The point of these things is that they are a tactical consideration.
When bandaging yourself — it will take a short time, and crucially it leaves you vulnerable to attack. That’s what the player has to consider before doing it and to find a safe spot to do it.
Ps. I know they don’t ‘clamp’ to the ground Bone — I’m talking about how they operate in a game...
I want that mechanic they had in FS that worked great.
The set up animation would take seconds, not long, but again it would be a tactical consideration — is it safe to do that?
