    Game freezes as I approach the Oracle in Delphi

    The game has been working great overall up until I go to meet the Oracle at Delphi. I've followed all of the other recommended troubleshooting referenced here (that I can find). Here are the DXDiag information:

    System Info

    * Windows 10 Home 64-bit, 17763
    * Intel Core i7-8700 3.2GHz
    * 16384MB Ram
    * DX 12
    * GeForce GTX 1080
    * VRam 8079MB

    Repro Steps

    I can repro this 100% of the time:

    1. Go to the Oracle of Delphi (during quest mode)
    2. Begin to enter the main square which will launch the "Discovered Appollo..." screen overlay which kicks off an autosave
    3. The gameplay freezes

    The camera is still free to move, the sound is fine, you can open the menu with no issues. Although trying to load any other game without fully exiting the game via Task Manager results in a black screen as the save logo just keeps going.

    In looking at other folks that have similar issues, it seems some folks adjusting their graphics to a specific FPS were able to make this work. This is not true in my case as I've not only put the graphics to their lowest possible position but also set it to cap at 30FPS to no avail.

    Again I'd like to note that I've been playing this on Ultra High with no issues up until this point. I'm happy to grab any logs or other info you'd like. I'm pretty comfortable with WinDBG as well, although I doubt you'll provide me with Symbols to break in but am willing to if necessary as I think it's trying to save the game and getting stuck in some way.

    Video of the issue

    At any rate, here is the video: https://youtu.be/nV8_OsM4ElA

    I am currently waiting for the UPlay file verification to occur and I'll update this once it's complete.

    Yea, Assassins creed Odyssey is a great game but they need to fix the stuttering and freezes. I posted the 9 fps stuttering when walking past horses.

    I'm in the same region as you but I think the horse stuttering bug happens through out the entire game. Have not experienced the freeze you are talking about yet. So far this game runs a lot smoother with less stutter locked at game to 50 fps. You got to lock your fps in this game otherwise it is stuttering all over the place.

    I have actually opened a support ticket with ubisoft and they have escalated my bug report and sent my video and game saves to the game development team. Hopefully they will do the same for you. That way they can fix the freeze bug and horse stuttering bug and release the fixes in a new patch.

    Thanks
    Damian

    Hey did anything come up from this? I have exactly the same issue, except my game completely crashes, I am running the same hardware:

    * Windows 10 Pro
    * Intel Core i7 8700K (not overclocked at all)
    * 32GB RAM
    * EVGA SC2 GTX 1080

    I have been playing the rest of the game perfectly fine, its just this one part which is causing the crash... Very odd

    Hey Maeur1, thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about the issue you ran into there.

    So that we could look into the matter further, may I double-check the following:

    1. Does the issue happen each and every time you attempt to access the place?
    2. Do you happen to receive any error messages after this occurs?

    In the meantime, if you haven't already, have a look at the steps outlined in the following article and give these a go, to see if issue persists.

    Keep us updated!
