Mate, it's still a tactical shooter.
Did you play the beta at all?
It felt more tactical than Wildlands by far in my opinion, mostly because I could move through a base single headshotting enemies with a suppressed weapon building to building and if/when I was finally spotted- The enemies didn't magically take a full magazine to kill because I was playing it on the highest difficulty.
A single shot to the head was still an instant kill, and aside from the Wolves (Who I still cleared with single shots to the head) that required an extra bullet or two, no enemy felt "spongey" at all.

In fact, I rarely swapped my rifles from Semi-Automatic to Automatic the whole time I played. There as no need to, because I never needed more than a few quick taps to down an opponent.

And mind you, I played with a level 3 AUG (because being Australian it felt nice to see something I was familiar with and didn't want to part with it despite having multiple weapons level 15+ available in my loadout) for hours and hours against sentinels and wolves alike.
The only issue I had killing anything was drones and that all changed as soon as I got my hands on the Benelli M4, I was weaving through trees and swatting them down fine- But it was a challenge, which made me think about how to approach things first- Which is what makes it a tactical shooter.

I also don't understand why people are complaining about tiered loot when your cosmetic look doesn't change depending on your load out and it took me (On Xbox) about 10 seconds to equip a new piece of gear which I took the time to go through and select after I was done clearing an area.
I start a zone GS 32 and I leave the zone GS 35, And that's if I even remembered to check the stuff I picked up.

I hit GS 45 before I stopped playing, Weapons I could buy from the store after I got their blueprint but I preferred certain weapons that I found in the world despite them being lower tier and even as I swapped between a T32 rifle and a T25 LMG I didn't really notice any sort of difference in how quickly I took on a place so long as I took my time to clear it properly.
Ubi themselves have stated that enemies become harder to kill the higher their gear level, while a headshot is a headshot, the rest changes - and drones are in their eyes designed to get spongier, as they also stated that drones would have higher health pools the more people were playing with you on co op, and the higher the drones gear level compared to yours.
Additional to this, Raids will be locked behind a gear level requirement, and most areas of the game have a 'recommeded gear level' in order to face, which you will most definitely be at a disadvantage for not playing along with as stated above.

Regardless of what you saw in the beta, we were all capped at gear level 40, and the highest enemy I saw was 60, and we already know there will be at minimum 150 gear levels. It will become a problem.

Except the difference isn't as noticeable as people seem to believe- which makes me think they didn't really play it at all.

Not to mention that an enemy with the same level gear score or lower than the player will die just as quickly.
At most points it was taking 1-2 chest shots to kill an opponent that didn't know I was there, and 2-3 to kill an opponent that did (which I make an allowance for because I know how adrenaline feels) At most, the Wolves would take me 5 rounds to the chest to kill- And it's not hard to squeeze of 5 shots in 1.5 seconds (Or less if you actually set your weapons to automatic instead of semi-automatic)

Also I checked a recording I have on my xbox, you're right I was at GS40, I did however clear a camp of Wolves that were GS150 with a friend.

At higher levels than yours they also spot you quicker and zone in on your position faster when searching, and shoot straighter - much like the weird tier mode mechanics from Wildlands, with all the laser accuracy included. Imagine how that will be without a decent gear level to assist.

I find it dumb. It is a simplistic way of adding 'difficulty' instead of improving the actual AI. I expect to see it in Guild Wars where the AI can only act a certain way, and adding larger health pools, harder hits, and wider areas of engagement are expected. Not in a shooter.

The reason why it feels like The Division is that you end up spending an equal amount of time playing the game as you do discarding old / obsolete weapons / armor and replacing them with ones with a higher attribute. That's too much time to spend on not playing the game. For me, that aspect of The Division, which I have played, was boring and senseless. How may AK47s am I going to pickup and replace again and again, etc.

I do agree that the enemies are not bullet sponges.

As far as the hubs - the only games I've seen them in are The Division and Destiny. The fact that Ghost Recon is now using a hub dilutes the game's distinctiveness. But even it the hub is desirable, why make it so cumbersome to move around in it or to exit the hub?

No you don't. in the Division there is multiple reasons for keeping gear/Farming gear and spending literally a nights rerolling gear. Here it seems to be just bin or strip, you are not looking for god rolls etc. They could speed up the time by allowing you to select multiple items to bin/strip/sell as that is the only part that took my time while playing.

Hubs are in plenty of games albeit mmos. Personally i think its not been implemented in the best way and figure its helpful for those solo players looking for a quick team.

With regards to the Hub, if they want to leave it in, fine, if you insist on making the game 'always online' (a mistake for this type of game imho), fine, but for the love of pete, allow me to choose whether I have to endure a cave full of peacocks or not, that should be a toggle.

pini0n, I think you need let people make the comparisons they want to make. The comparison to the Division does make a lot of sense. Here's why.

First off, Division is probably the biggest name game that has a social hub and gear score. It is also probably the first that many of the GR fans have encountered. As such, it makes a lot of sense that many of us are making comparisons. I believe Monster Hunter World also had similar features, but it wasn't nearly as popular.

Second, The Division is another Ubisoft title. It makes a lot of sense that two games from the same company with similar features are compared. Many of us are expecting that there is some cross-over between the development teams, which makes the comparisons even more suitable.

Finally, extra stats on weapons do exist, but only on weapons with a colored stripe. And it does not limit your play zones. In the Closed Beta, we were able to walk right into a Gear 150 zone with any gear level we wanted. We got a big red flashing warning, but we could still go in. How did you get both of these points wrong?

I do completely agree that this game does not feel like The Division. It feels like GR:Wildlands and The Division had a baby and it's called GR:Breakpoint.

the gear score thing could be okay if it was implemented in a way we still got to use what we wanted

Ubi got lazy and decided to port the gameplay, rpg, loot shooter elements from the Division (all of which suck) and updated the assets from GR: Wildlands. This is not a Ghost Recon series what soever and has stretched further from the new gameplay style (Wildlands) in a direction that is not wanted by most.

The game will get a poor rating, sales will slump and Ubi will wonder where it went wrong. Just check the suggestions and feedback suggestion Ubi, thats where you went wrong. The writing is on the wall, GR: Breakpoint will flop.
And that’s where you wrong. If you checking only the forums than you are delusional. For one thing, since the forums put duplicate post on how this game is The Division most positive members who like the game had put our posting on hold. Why? Cause this all you guys talk about. We positives don’t have to participate in who is canceling they pre-order, who is not going to get the game, who agree this the Division, boycott the game, petition, and so on.

So it’s only natural you assume the game will slump you say. Besides the forums I see multiple media of people who love the game. Quite of few closed groups on Facebook, YouTube and its comments, live-streams, and more. Ubi has the numbers and can see it. Keep going by the suggestions and feedback thinking this game will fall.

Us positives await release date and will post occasionally on constructive feedback and thoughts of our game. Hopefully around that time the admins can reduce these repetitive Division post that us positives don’t care about.

IMHO this game is nothing like the Division. I don’t see green magic or flying armor healing me. I don’t see drones I myself as a player can use to shoot players. I don’t see the game missions being linear.

So what The Division has a hub. If this game was so like the Division tell me why this game doesn’t have 10+ safe houses in its open world which is like a hub in Aurora. As far as I seen I can only see players at Erewhon and not at bivouacs.

So what the game has weapon level and gear score. This is used to give the game more variety using attributes. Shooters and racing games does this a lot. The game is still a GR game of its own. I can still prone and use tactics on how I want to attack a enemy . The enemies don’t auto detect where I’m at. I have use to thermals , NV, and drones to scout the area. Heck I can swim and drive vehicles . I can eat and drink. If weapon level, gear score, and hubs is the best you got which is insufficient to the amount GR that’s here than I have nothing more to say.
