    To all the haters

Move on with your life my man. I mean come on how many decades have passed since you played advanced warfighter? Getting angry over a video game not being the way you want it, come on now I think it's time to grow up. The game feels pretty solid to me. The gun fights were a hell of a lot more fun than any recent ghost recon games. I think the guns feel pretty amazing. Best I've felt in a long time. I personally hope they keep them as is.

So you can see how cool other people look and then spend $$ for UbiGRBucks to spend on MTX to make yourself look as cool as XXX_Dethlord69_XXX who you saw in the social hub. Which is also this is now an onlne game, because there's no actual reasonable reason for it to be so.
Ubi's desire for MTX money > immersion.

All other players should appear in basic local attire when in the Hub, doesn't break "Few Survivors" aspect of the story and removes the cosmetic contest others have stated is the true reason for the hub

Who cares about what its supposed to be like and enjoy it for what it is. So they changed it and added some features (Hub & Gear Score) If you dont like it dont play it. Simple. Mummy will still love you regardless of which option you choose. It was a BETA, not a demo so expect problems. If they have changed it from your precious view of years gone by, how about you try it out and judge it for what it is. Not what it should be and instead of complaining about everything you add some critical feedback to help the development of the game. As is the purpose of a BETA.

Those are the features that ruined division. 6 mags to kill one enemey. Give me a break. Not to mention crafting weapons. Couldn’t be more boring to me. I could care less, it slows down the game play. I want a great story, and I want to be apart of the action as often as possible. I don’t want to be reading and having to find clues, wondering if I’m going in the right direction, resting, eating, drinking, crafting. Takes you away from the game play entirely. Awful features to a game in my opinion.

And the reasons for it being only so-so had to do with it being too easy, AI was dumb, and the world was boring and lifeless."

Nevermind. This statement said it all and I get it. You didn't like Wildlands. Yeah it was broken at the beginning but holding true to form UBI stuck in there and made a good tactical shooter. And, yes, with 800 hours in Wildlands I am definitely a fanboy. But as it stands most of the folks in these forums are also fanboys. I'm glad you like what they've done. I don't. And apparently most of us dont. But have fun.
Are you purposely trying to put words in my mouth, or do you really not get what I'm saying?

I didn't say I didn't like Wildlands. I thought it was an all right game. It was worth at least a playthrough, and maybe a second playthrough if I ever got bored and had absolutely nothing better to play. Can't say I'd be wholly excited about a second play-through. It would be more like a casual time waster. Besides the gameplay, the story was boring, and the characters were one-trick pony cliches with wooden acting. There was nothing memorable about the game that makes me want to experience it again. The shooting is not that interesting. The AI is still ridiculous. And the world is still bland and lackluster. Ghost War wasn't all that interesting in my opinion. I haven't tried Mercenaries, yet. Every time I try to play, I wait for eternity for MatchMaking, which in all honesty, tells me everything I need to know about it. Apparently, people don't care for it.

It had some good things to it. And those good things really are quite good. It wasn't completely devoid of value. It wasn't a trash game. I felt like critics were initially too hard on it. Folks were talking exactly like you're talking now, "It's garbage," and blah blah blah. The game wasn't that bad. But the things that needed to be better than just so-so, made it less than it should have been. It wasn't the perfect game fanboys make it out to be, and they certainly made their claim-so when the game was released. I was there. I remember it clear as day.

People just like you complain about every new game in a franchise because it wasn't as good as the prior entry--and they say the same things in every Beta cycle. They complained about the dumbest crap in Wildlands Beta just like people are complaining about the dumbest crap in BP Beta. And there is no end to their overexxageration:

"Game has Community HUB. This game is absolute GARBAGE! I cannot believe Ubi is ruining this franchise."
"Game has tiered loot. It's Division clone!" (as if that's a bad thing in the first place) "This game is so trash!"

Actually, no. A Community HUB doesn't make the game garbage.
Actually, no. Tiered loot doesn't make the game trash.
Actually, no. Being similar to another game in certain aspects doesn't make the game bad.

Being a fanboy for the prior game is no excuse.

"Actually, no. A Community HUB doesn't make the game garbage."

    - but if you 1) advertise and promote a title, as well as impliment a story wholly revolving around being a "survivor" or "hunted and behind enemy lines" with "limited supplies" then seeing 2 dozen other Ghosts, some wearing head to toe TARTAN and having a fully stocked shop where you can buy any gun you need and any transport option you need...pretty much kills any immersion being attempted...doesn't it??

"Actually, no. Tiered loot doesn't make the game trash."

    - IF Ghost Recon was, historically, a looter-shooter..then no. However, this is a franchise based on being a TACTICAL SHOOTER dependant on the skills, planning and co-operation between its players in any given scenario...NOT based on if someone is wearing a Blue tier t-shirt giving them 50% stamina boost!

"Actually, no. Being similar to another game in certain aspects doesn't make the game bad."

    - IF your other franchises (Assassins Creed, Watchdogs, Division) are all borrowing very similar game mechanics and even blatantly sharing UI elements and progression mechanics then YES!

If you see us all posting the same things but still feel their invalid arguments then 1) Its because Ubisoft have gone very silent since the beta release and 2) because players not realising there's any problem with cloning games across your publishers title base IS a real problem not just here but in the industry as a whole.

Right... some ideas here to salvage this.

TOGGLES! Guided missions are on a toggle. Why not make the following ON / OFF toggles:

    - Loot spears of light. Option to disable ALL loot indicators and physical drops unless either they are a weapon dropped by the combatant (but really reduced drop rate and with one mag of ammo).
    - Social aspect of the HUB. Option to disable seeing ANY other players except those in your group. Boom..done!
    - Cave Shop. Disable access to weapons, vehicles, attachements...make the shop be open for consumables (Food, bandages, morphine pens) ONLY.
    - Classes. Disable ALL classes options and related buffs. Make equipment as options but all that specialisation bonus crap can just take a jump off a cliff!

VASTLY REDUCE THE NUMBER OF LOOT CRATES. Not every building should have one! What was wrong with most of them being in a heavily guarded base like in Wildlands?!? Ok, add some random prepper caches as well in out of the way places but not literally every type of building!

Ubisoft...I've then fixed your game. DM me for my PayPal address...you'll owe me.

Their options so you can still keep your Loot-addicted kiddies happy and keep those of us who don't want our game populated by a dozen or more shards of different colour light on the floor after a combat ... happy also.

Yes, there are other issues (movement controls for PC for example) but make this happen and I'd even buy the game!

I don't think the Gear score really locks the areas, me and a buddy went in to i think a lvl 40 or 60 zone (Had the mumar tanks or whatever they are called) while we were only gs 10 and was able to take them down with EMP grenades and rockets. I felt the GS was more of an "advisory" limit. We were playing on extreme difficulty with minimal huds.
