I wouldn’t be surprised there will be changes in the final game. Wildlands started the same but was worse. Closed beta had some of the map unfinished and textures wasn’t there. Enemies wasn’t that responsive as well. Same with Unidad. You can really tell the game is missing parts in the game that’s still being worked on. I noticed this at first sight when I tried using panther smoke ability which barely shown any smoke.
Hopefully. With around 4 weeks to go to launch, there are a lot of improvements that need to be made.Originally Posted by xxFratosxx Go to original post
What people seem to be forgetting , is that we've only seen a relatively small portion of the island. So the northern region of the island, may be considered out in the boonies, and the farther south we go,the more heavily populated it gets, by enemy NPCs, Skell employees and their families, as well as the other factions. Hell, even on an island chain that is as heavily populated as Hawaii (1.5 million), there are still regions where you can walk for several hours, and never come across another human soul.. So just imagine a small group of islands that likely only has a population of several thousand.
For me, the only thing that I found odd, was that there was zero traffic on any of the roads. If you saw a car, it was an enemy patrol. It would make more sense if we at least saw some transport vehicles, moving employees to and from the remote research facilities. Or cargo trucks, bringing supplies, besides just the ones we find sitting on the side of the road.
Ye the island is DEAD..the games great for about 5 or 6 hours and then u just get bored doing the same stupid missions blow up a house .. blow up a car .. blow up a factory .. the NPCS are so stupid .. copied and paste all over the map .. honestly how many times do I need to see 3 npcs fixing a god dam bike doing nothing .. bang bang bang .. then I see them again virtually less than 5 mins later .. what a mess up .. you done so many cool things but at the same time were just so lazy with other aspects of the game .. if your trying to entertain morons you definitely achieved it
One thing that really bothered me was that everyone was just kind of standing still aside from some primitive patrol routes. Especially the civilians, if the premise is that Sentinel/Wolves have taken Auroa under martial law but Skell Tech is still resuming their day to day operations you would expect these civilians to do something more than just stand doing absolutely nothing, except of course crying in a extremely loud and obnoxious way every time they see you.
Also I just have to ask how is it possible that every single patrol you come across in the wild outside of roads has had their vehicle malfunction? Like how bad are Skell's technicians? As a result everyone is just kind of hanging around, having a eternal smoke break. At this day and age of video games I would had expected much more dynamic events, like we have seen even on other Ubi open world titles. It just feels like everything in the game world exists to wait in place until player arrives, instead of creating a impression of a living, breathing world that goes on with our without players presence.
When it comes to the level in which Ubisoft operates, I'm still not expecting RDR2, but definitely something more than a bunch of static, lifeless shooting galleries dotted around the map.
This right here was mind boggling and what made exploring unbelievably boring. Oh here's a bike on the map. Oh here's another and another and another. Just walk up and shoot 2 guys and it's over. It wasn't only PMCs but also civilians. In the woods. Some withing 200 meters of each other. Just fixing bikes. Ad nauseum. Between that, bases, going in menus every 5 minutes to change gear it became repetitive and boring very fast.Originally Posted by igrvks Go to original post
Trying to appeal to the reasoning of anyone who plays a beta is redundant.Originally Posted by MardukAUS Go to original post
In every game beta I've ever played there's been people complaining about the things that were most clearly just there as a taste test.
In my time glancing over the forums I also noticed that nobody seems to have realised the XP and Health regen rates were amped up greatly to what we've seen (it even said 25% boost in the top left corner every time you killed someone for anyone who was paying attention) and this was obviously so that you'd be able to experience as much as possible during the short window it was open.
Everyone seems to have missed the magical words "Technical Test" as well for some reason.
I hope it is different in the real game. I really do. I'll wait to see some gameplay of the real game before I buy it. However if that is how "patrols" are with everyone's bike broken down every 200-400m it's going to get repetitive. That's just my opinion. I know what a beta is and what it is for. It seemed kind of redundant even for a beta.Originally Posted by RighteousDingo Go to original post
