That Ghost Recon Nostalgia
Playing an hour ago: Nothing like dropping swarms of enemies with my UMP until *click*click*click*click* no ammo. With piles of dead mercs in one room, not one had a weapon. Their guns vanished in non Ghost Recon fashion. It was my instinct, an expectation that there would be guns under these bodies. For in a moment I thought it felt like Ghost Recon... but then I was reminded that this is Breakpoint. The guns vanish for no real good reason.
Playing earlier today: Armed with a UMP and a shotty, I successfully snuck up behind a sniper and cut his throat open. That Ghost Recon instinct appeared and I was ruined by the vanishing guns. I was ready to use this poor dead sniper's rifle to snipe his sniper buddies nested in the towers and then pick my gun back up after the kill. Alas, Ghost Recon nostalgia played mind games on me.
Playing yesterday evening: I was prone in the foliage, evading detection. Two sentries were danger close. I lined up my shot to for a swift head shot to head shot play. The first target drops and what do I see next, a glowing green obstruction in my line of sights for the next target.
I get scavenging is necessary for Breakpoint's story, but these looter shooter mechanics are killing me, Smalls.
