Lighting question
I made a track at night. What kind of lighting is best to use that wont stress the engine? I tried using point lights all over the track and got major slow down. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do? I also turned off shadows is settings. Thanks

Lighting is a big weakness for me, so this may not be a good suggestion, but one idea would be to use the movie making technique of shooting night scenes at day. Raise the environmental lighting to a suitable ambient level, then put a blue filter and mess with the levels and curves in the camera settings to give it a night feel.

If there is no need for much background or ambient lighting, and you only need to light the area around rider, why not use an OPE to keep 1 light above the rider. This works good for a cave themed track, where there is no light.
Or just make the lights cover a larger area and use less light objects.

thanks for the tips, I actually just turned off both shadow settings and it runs like a charm, no matter how many point lights i use now.
