The things that I loved about the first experience for three straight years, are virtually nonexistent. For example, why can't we use more than one exotic at a time? Hell, it's barely any drops anyways. Why can't I change grenades or special ammo on the fly? It's the simple things that true fans enjoy. Honestly, who really cares about a bunch of character outfits? What happened to the "Two touch down on the controller" for your favorite emotes? Don't get me started on no Matchmaking for regular raids. Discovery raids really don't drop anything. Kenly College, why? It's not even available most of the time. How about producing "Hunters" on some of this missions to keep it interesting? Why am I getting all of this purple gear? I mean supply rooms from control points, all purple, why? I'm still amazed at how many people still playing Division I. I even miss the music. It's the simple things that true fans enjoy.
Probably gonna be hell to pay when MW comes out.....
Yeah the combination of music and environment really set the original game off - Dyer a version of which is used in Dragon's Nest being one of my favourites. TD2 isn't bad in that respect but it didn't hit the heights of TD1 for me.
A lot of what put me off with TD2 was mechanics seemingly changed around just to make them appear "new" while not really benefiting from the changes and in some cases making the gameplay clunkier along with the movement having all the bad bits of the 1.8 change and worse so I felt even less connected to my character as it would often move a few steps automatically outside of my input due to various artificial limitations on turning speed, etc.
This is the TD1 forum so I am not going to spend my time bashing TD2, but it was a major let down for me. I'd say as far as video games that I was eagerly anticipating, this one ranks 2nd in worst realization. I realize games take years to make so this won't be quite as simple as I make it out to be, but all they had to do was take the 1.8 version of TD1, add new content, change locations, season, etc and they'd have been golden. Maybe adding a new skill or two, perhaps new way to use same skills. I do like the turret abilities such as targeting in TD2.
TD2 looks beautiful. But, even on a very cutting edge computer, it doesn't play as smooth as TD1 does, largely due to dropping SLI support. The character movement feels like I am carrying an elephant in my backpack. Glass walls; I get killed more by running into glass walls in the heat of battle than I do for all other reasons combined - no joke. Storage space. This is what very first started changing my opinion on TD2. The way they handled not giving additional storage space to UE purchasers and instead turn it back on us implying that early access equals additional. The way the mods work only exacerbates the issue. Lastly, in this release: RNG = OMGWTF![]()
That was known before it was even released that Div2 will be casual farmer game.Originally Posted by John_B_Tokyo Go to original post
