I really, really, really wanted to love this game like i did Wildlands but its just not working for me as it cureently stands. My main issue is the looting aspect, it doesnt belong in a milsim of any kind. How can you want to create a realistic type of game and add a tiered loot system? How can a Boonie hat offer me more protection than a an army kevlar helmet? The looting system has ruined it for me. I dont want to spend so much time organising and selling or dismantling items, i want to play a game not spend hours organising rubbish. I was hoping for a Wildlands experince and immersion and this game just lacked in that. I cant see myself having continous run throughs of this game. The movement is also off, trying to tuck up behind a tree or rock or even trying to pick up info without jumping on or in a vehicle by accident. I dont think anyone was asking for Tom Clancy's Ghost Cry Assassins Division. I might pick this game up later on down the line but im not supporting this non sense as it stands. That said tho, enough love and respect for the hard work that has gone into the core of this game, it looks sexy as hell but let down by the gameplay. In this one instance, sex does not sell. I hope you come to your senses or i hope this does become the success you want it to be but sadly its not my cup of tea. Back to Arma 3 for me.
I'm really not convinced that GRB is, as you call it a 'milsim' (nor does it appear to be advertised as such).Originally Posted by Fraginstein Go to original post
It's fine to like those of course, but I think this game is more mid-market that a specialist tactical shooter.
I cover it up with the customize section. But yeah... I get what you are saying. But I can hardly imagine this game being a milsim. When I do play a milsim I play ARMA3 or Squad, but this is a completely different genre. It's definitely not a sim. I feel like it's one of those looter shooters with slightly different flavor to it.
First, I don’t understand why people pre-order software. There’s no real advantage to it, and you’re just telling the company you’ll buy whatever turd they produce. Is it any wonder we get half finished games at launch if millions of people give them money before they even know what they’re getting? It boggles my mind.Originally Posted by Fraginstein Go to original post
But I do feel your pain on the loot front. It’s distracting in the hud to the point where I had two guys to take out at a random encounter... I capped the first guy in the head, and instantly an ammo flag appeared obscuring my view of the enemy behind him. WTF?! It’s also unrealistic as hell... who thought it was a good idea that a pair of pants should have a damage perk? And then it’s just confusing and annoying to manage... you have gear with levels, perks or buffs on one screen, but that’s not affecting what you’re actually wearing... that’s on a different screen... three tabs over. FFS.

This article focuses on the loot/gear level and gives a pretty impartial view on it.
I agree with the author, the game is satisfying to play - but for me, only in so much as the part of my brain that likes rewards keeps getting hit. Using any logical thought to overcome that and you realise very quickly the glove doesn't fit.
Good article... thanks for sharing. I think this paragraph summarizes it well...Originally Posted by tRIncar91 Go to original post
Ubisoft’s argument for implementing this system stems from user data that indicated most Wildlands players found a weapon they liked and stuck with it for almost the entire game. This new system, the company says, encourages players to swap out weapons regularly and see more of what the game has to offer. It’s nice on paper, but if Ghost Recon is the skill-based shooter that Ubisoft says it is, and the tactical fantasy players seem to want from it, then players sticking with a gun they’re good at using seems a little bit like a problem that doesn’t need solving.
I stuck with one weapon choice in each weapon type, for most of Wildlands. There was simple reason for that though, it was everything else I picked up was worse. I think I changed assault rifle once, in the whole game.
The weapon system in Breakpoint has me totally confused. I have an SVD sniper rifle that I have had since almost the start. It had a damage of 60. I have another one identical in inventory that has the same damage of 60 even now. Yet now the one I have equipped now has a damage of 250.
I have other SNR in my inventory. One has damage of 125. Does it mean that if I equip it, the damage level on it will increase?

That is quite the title - Tom Clancy's Ghost Cry Assassins Division. It flows right off the tongue! Haha.Originally Posted by Fraginstein Go to original post
On a serious note, I am not sure how you came to this conclusion. For starters all those other games you mention are a hell of a lot better optimized, have a hell of a lot less bugs, the ANIMATIONS are top notch(BP animations are the worse I have seen in years). I mean BP really is in its own league when it comes to problems just a few short weeks out from official launch.
As I said in another thread, I certainly hope Ubi takes all these threads of concerns and pushes back the game some. It would show me that they actually care.
