    This is not wildlands!!!

With respect to my fellow gamers and testers, I see a lot of posts where people want the game to be like Wildlands, Well this is not Wildlands its a completely different game in a different place with a different environment and thats a good thing if this was just a Wildlands clone than what would be the point? We had a saying in the Army Rangers "Assess Adapt and Overcome" If your looking for a Wildlands clone than by all means play Wildlands no one will fault you but the true sign of a gamer is being able to manage a game regardless of if it meats the playstyle of it predecessor or not.
If you don't like the game cause it's not like wildland than dont buy it it's your choice but for god's sake quit complaining because it's not the same as Wildlands

    Prefer Wildlands

Honestly I much prefer wildlands customisation menu. Gunplay mechanics in this are better and bushes actually give cover, I really wish camoflauge actually counted for something because it doesn't make sense to be wearing bright white in a small green bush and nobody can see you. And the hole thing of making the game require an internet connection just to play the game is a massive f*ck up, I am playing perfectly fine having fun and my internet is being strong and stable then I lose connection to the servers and it is a problem that persists, I have about 4 and a half hours clocked on the game so far and honestly, half of that has been me trying to reconnect to the servers anywhere between every 2 to 10 minutes I know it is a beta but Ubisoft, please if you are reading this, I love the game and direction you are going with it but make it so you can play without an internet connection please, otherwise someone will buy the game and if they have a problematic internet connection and eventually get to play it but have to wait x amount of time just to connect to then play it with live 200 ping it just isn't worth it which means they have basically wasted their money. If you made it so you don't need an internet connection then it will bring a high player base which means more sales to carry on making these fantastic games

You are right, this is a mix of Division and Far cry. and that is why some of us who liked the Ghost recon concept are a little sad and mildly disappointed.

I am seriously trying to find things I like about this loot crate, guns with different colors and flower picking stuff....but it is hard.

    You are right.

The main criticism is - I think - that they took away things that worked very well in GRW (Menus, Gun customization, Skill system, controlls, Offline-possible-play), and replaced it by something that feels much worse.

Like don't get me wrong. I am trying to like it but I can't get to grips with the new skills tree. Like I don't get why have 4 classes then have all those skills available to each of them. Makes the class system feel really defunct and not worth the hassle of choosing one. I know it is a beta and I expect it to be janky but the character movement is like playing with a lot of lag, because you press a button then your character decides to move 2 seconds later, which in a firefight and on the higher difficulties can spell death. Also animate the bipods you get for weapons and worth something instead of the sheer asthetic of them providing stability. Again, I know it is a beta but this is the most broken beta I have ever played. Even bethesda are better at patching their games which is saying something when you know how broken Skyrim is, even AC Odyssey is still relatively broken. But I really hope the Wildlands customisation menu and make it so you don't need an internet connection just to play, oh and the camoflauge actually being worth something would be amazing too!

You are completely missing the target here. This game IS the successor of Wildlands. FFS, you even have the characters. So, why are they fusing The Division and Ghost Recon? Well, I'm glad you asked. The reasoning and design idea is to create a frame work where you can develop several different games with the same tools and assets. You only change the surface and market it as a different game. This of course is to save time but still sell the product for the same price. Hence, more profit. At the end of this you will have Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon and the Division using the same foundation but marketed as separate products. The issue is that there's only so much you can change the product within that framework so they will all have the same game mechanics and fundamentally play the same.

Ghost recon started out as a hardcore milsim. Don't know if you ever played it, but it didn't even have a character, you only had a sight on the screen. Quite a different product to this 3rd person "look at a guys arse" game. And this is what upsets people, me included, since this erases the lines between the games and removes any personality. It's not your job to adapt to their product, it's their job to make the product you want to buy. I don't really understand why that is so confusing to people.

Very well put. Ghost Recon was originally a first person shooter and the game that made me buy my first computer. This game we are testing doesn't deserve to be associated with the Ghost Recon brand. The devs have missed the mark, the game is rated "M" for mature yet it is designed and functions like a game created for 10 year olds. Gone are the diverse and complicated flying mechanics that took time to learn, and instead they are replaced with a simple up, down, left, right controls that a 5 year old could grasp. They honestly could change the characters and market it as a Far Cry game and be applauded for it. But there is no way in hell this game should be sold as the follow up to Wildlands. The sad part is those of us in the OTT back in July said the exact same thing about the game and the devs didn't change a God damn thing.

I think they did change it - auto regen health now and unlimited bandages! Again more for the casuals.

The game isn't just for hardcore and veterans. Its for casuals too mix with man, woman, and children. So some of you guys played the first ghost recon. Good for you. However, some people played a GR later down the line that probably like the game being TPS like myself. Some start on Wildlands, GRFS, GRAW2, and so on. We have to realize especially in todays online gaming that the old games wouldn't be fun for some. As a developer, why limit they talents to make the same game every year? Just like some of us in our education, degree, work we all want to promote or do things different in life.

So the developers have the right to try things new and if the old or recent players cannot adjust than theres nothing they can do. Trust me I like the old games too. Mainly the PvP. I wouldn't mind getting 6v6/8v8 back, conflict mode, and so on. I wouldn't mind getting linear missions like the old days. However, its not about me. Its about what the developers want their game to be. Yes, We have a say to suggest things but the suggestions/feedback lately of some individuals is unacceptable.

Breakpoint isn't Wildlands or GR 1. I don't like telling people to go to another game but if you an adult you should know complaining is not going to help. Venting is fine but baby spoiled complaints is another level.
