There's nothing like the gritty realism of tiered loot to improve the function of your equipment. I remember when I was in Iraq back during the Spring Fighting of '08, and a JAM fighter we killed near Sadr City dropped a purple M4A1 for me. It was so much better than the common tier M4 I had been using up to that point. Instantly improved my reload speed and reduced the cooldown time on my needle chest decompression class technique. Still took 10+ body shots to kill the occasional Chechens and IRGC guys though. Some of them had higher gear scores than I did, so that makes sense.

Night visor and termal visor in Ghost wildland and Breakpoint looks $h!tty. Battlefield 3-4 FLIR or GRAW night vision. Ghosts ever used a last gen tech.

these people wouldn't know what nvg and thermal looks like in the first place, it took me literally 5 secs to find how it's supposed to look

You do have to wonder sometimes about the amount of actual research that got into some of these games. I mean I get there are technical limitations and all, but..

For those that have never worn a pair of military nvg's the nvg system in grw was very unrealistic. The night vision in grb is a lot closer to the real world nvg's

Dude, I wore 7Bs on combat operations every night for 14 months. It looked nothing like the night vision in breakpoint. I'm fact, it was a whole lot better. Those were Gen2 NODs manufactured in the mid-90s, and that was over ten years ago. We're up to Gen4 now in our Tier One SOF units. I've seen footage of what those look like, and it's nearly true color.
