With XB1X and a uhd 4k tv I found turning the brightness down to 35 significantly reduced the blur from nvmOriginally Posted by zanthras Go to original post
My only thing about the current NV is it is more of a grey vision than the green view.Originally Posted by Ubi-Lucipus Go to original post
From wiki about how it works "The electrons are drawn to the higher-voltage phosphor screen (green)."
The good thing is that the maps at night have a nice moon light most of the time.
In fairness that is rather outdated. Most have moved to white phosphor which is a blue-gray, like the splinter cell cross over goggles from GRW. Green went out about a decade ago, even on the civilian market.Originally Posted by Halli-SPARTA Go to original post
More modern NVGs have gone to true color, which looks like you are watching the world on a slightly blurry TV set.
What ever the current NV technology is, my issue with NV in GRB is that it doesnt help see in the dark enough. In way too many night cases, i find it easier to see without the NV than with them.
Its hard for me to explain why, though: is it too bright? Not contrasted enough? not bright enough? I dont know what to say. only that its not nearly as effective as it was in GRW, where I used night vision a LOT during the night and it brought a huge improvement to my vision in that game.
Granted that RL NVGs aren't super clear to look through, i do agree that NVGs in Breakpoint need a bit of work.
Also, WHY IN THE NAME OF F*** we are still able to use NVG/TVG without wearing one on our head/eyes ???
WTF this is so immersion breaking... and such an easy thing to model, especially since there are NVG pieces of equipment to use in the customization menu.......
You made me LOL at work.Originally Posted by GaRcHoW Go to original post![]()
