Sorry Ubi but I just canceled my Gold PreOrder. I have played the Beta and didn’t hate it but I want the real GR experience, not a unnecessary and unwanted mix of genres.
I’ll follow up the evolution of the game and the updates and might buy it at a later stage if things change.
So all that preordered before playing the beta and now want to cancel the order for what ever reason are having issues??
You can cancel the order as long as you have not accepted the T's&C's that are only enforced when accepting the installation of the main title on 4 Oct. Contact support to request a refund.
Still find it funny that customers purchase before trying out the beta but hey![]()

Indeed. I see preordering before trying as shooting ones self in the foot, sort of like a I'll be happy with anything just make it the same as before recipe and that never works, it just rubs the tummy of the dev's to say Hey look at how many preorders we have, we must be on the right track.Originally Posted by LoTheBanker Go to original post
Then these threads appear which is amusing.
I pre ordered TD2 after the beta and then 2 weeks after launch and having a blast the dev's ruined the game and I requested a refund because the game completely changed after launch. I was happy after beta and the same could happen here. Def not preordering any title again from any dev until the game has settled in with a few post launch patches.
If the game dev's offered a good deal to preorder like TD2 with a choice of a free game or a 20 percent discount on the launch price I would take the gamble but otherwise what the real point in preordering, it's money that you could be making interest on, not the dev's and then you can purchase when released if the game lives up to the standards that are worthy of ones funds.
I'd be taking a human guess that at least half of those in this thread will end up owning and playing GRB at some point, the fact that they are posting is that they are upset at the direction GRB has decided to go and I'm not going to argue with any of you on that. Just stop preordering guy's and girls![]()
I could basically copy/paste a lot of the complaints and criticisms here. Some i know will be gone by release but the biggest flaw here (for me) is the looter shooter thing gone crazy. While i appreciate choices and upgrades , this isn't Borderlands and will always be Ghost Recon. Wildlands did it right, did it better, i love Wildlands.
Also, why do they keep messing with helicopter flight?? Again, WILDLANDS did it right (eventually), why mess with it , AGAIN.
Why are there soooo many people camping out around fires at night?? Everywhere i went i kept bumping into them (although i imagine this will be fixed).
Ugh, so many complaints... I'll just say that i plan on buying this game but not at launch. I'll wait for the initial shock and awe and patches and maybe the first sale in December. Shame, i had ordered the top tier edition just because of my confidence in Ubisoft.
Good luck and see you in December.
So many are often just doing the outrage to make sure they can claim to support they had a bad experience, and most only pre ordered to make sure they had access to beta anyway and never planned on getting the game at launch, we have still not payed a dime for the pre order at least i have not paid a dime yet, i am however still keeping my pre order and such, i have mates i am going to play the game with and played in these testing phases with them so i am not so worried about having fun in the release version.
My issue has been the controls being sluggish and a character being slow to stop and when i am trying to interact with something i am struggling to activate an item because of the controls.
In settings you can add gameplay hint icons.
Dog tags are on the north side of the little pond...NOT the coast. Confusing.
& yes...if a plane or helicopter sees you...& drops a smoke flare. You are screwed. I ran away from them....a long way....still would not give up searching for me. The HUD was red and fuzzy until I had to run back and either kill them all...which is very hard...or just get killed. By that time I was 20 miles from the mission I was looking for. Might as well just let them kill you and reset your wanted level. And I have it set on normal. Will be impossible on hard setting. Good luck.
I'm on Xbox.... GT ... Gonzo3313 if ya want to play today.
The discs have the code backbone and a load of texture and image data on them and that is about it. All the important modules, parameters and settings will be deployed from the servers without needing patch updates, because the game is online only.Originally Posted by l3ooga Go to original post
That doesn't mean the game will be what you want at release, but they can be working on it right up to release day and on quite significant features too.
