    Move shotgun damage to first bonus please

    Just like the title states, shotgun damage really should be the first brand bonus. Anyone not using shotguns won't care about the change and anyone that does use shotguns would appreciate the extra build freedom. Here's why it should be this way.

    1. Even with the change to shotguns they still lack the dps of the automatic fire weapons. I'm not saying they need changes in this thread, but the extra freedom would help.

    2. Most other brands offer bonuses to damage on the first piece so it doesn't make sense that you need 2 pieces of chinas light for shotgun damage.

    3. If you have an explosive build then it's doubtful you're going to use shotguns because you have to be close. So the bonuses don't fit together if you're just trying to run with shotguns like myself.

    Counter examples:

    1. R&K pistol damage is on the second bonus. However, the first bonus is hazard protection which is good for everyone regardless of build and the bonus is 20% instead of 10% which is worth wearing 2 pieces.

    2. Airaldi marksman rifle damage is on the third bonus. Except every airaldi bonus is highly desired for sniper builds so wearing 3 pieces to get the weapon damage is more than worth it.

    Every other weapon bonus is the first piece. Petrov, fenris, overlord, and sokolov. Shotguns already have a bad weapon bonus with melee damage, can we at least get the shotgun damage bonus moved to the first piece worn? It will at least help with some build diversity for shotgun users.

    Shotguns need a LOT more love than this. As it currently stands, you can out DPS a shotgun from safety. If using a shotgun, enemies will tear through you like paper even with 400k+ armor. There is zero incentive to use them in PvE whatsoever.

    Main problem is lack of range for PvE and horrible weapon type bonus with melee damage

    I don't totally disagree with you here. Shotguns are definitely high risk and low dps. But the burst potential is pretty good and they do stagger enemies easily.

    I don't know if I disagree or agree lol.

    On one hand, love me some China because of that 10% explosion damage, on the other hand, what you say makes perfect sense.

    This change would help shotgun users only a little, and not really hurt explosive users. Even if the bonuses were switched to where you needed 2 pieces for explosive damage it wouldn't really hurt the explosive build. Mainly because you can put explosive damage talents on your gear. You can still wreck pretty hard with explosives without wearing China's light.

    But seriously, I've thought about making a post like this for awhile. Glad someone finally did. Good suggestion.

    whatever it is , u have to know TD(i think it will be a series ) since TD1, all guns damage is totally below what it should be if u is playing hero and challenge
    difficulty, so u should not expect any buff( enough damage in heroic and challenge) on weapon in the future. u only have the choice is below or at hard difficulty

    Seems to me that the melee damage bonus should be replaced with a damage reduction bonus. Rather than having it increase armor or health, have it straight up mitigate a portion of the damage seeing as survivability is a major issue with using a shotgun in close range.
