I also cannot get the game over 1280 x 720.

I even tried editing the config file.

    No issues here with resolution

4k 2k all worked great for us. Hope that helps.

Was it already in that resolution on first launch?

Yep, Looking in the options menu the resolution option is simply greyed out across all options (Border less, Windowed, Border less Windowed.)

Having the same problem here. Can't adjust resolution for some reason. Was 720 at first launch and greyed out. Tried deleting the config file, editing it, verifying files and none of that worked.

Managed to fix this on my end. Are you running multiple displays?
I disconnected my other display (a 1080p tv) and deleted the config file. The game then started in my monitor's native resolution.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for reporting this to us, guys.

    BiggusRichus,

Just to confirm, you were able to plug the monitors back in again after this or you have to play with only one monitor plugged in?

I just tried reconnecting the other display and after some tinkering it seems to be working now. The problem, it seems, was that my secondary display was connected but not "active". It was an hdmi output to an avr connected to a television. The avr was on but the tv was not. And the avr/tv was disabled in the Nvidia control panel. When I reconnected the hdmi cable, the game allowed me to change resolution but not the display (tv was not on) but the max resolution (1080p) was that of my avr/tv not the monitor i was using. After I turned everything on all options became available.
It seems the game was picking up the secondary display despite it being disabled in Nvidia control panel.

I did lose some fps running both displays so the easiest fix for me is to just run with the one display connected although that my not be viable for other people.

EDIT: I should also note that I had disabled GeForce Experience throughout this process, though I don't think it played any part.

Update: I restored my hardware to its previous state (tv disabled in control panel) to see if it would happen again and everything is still working now so I think it was just my setup at initial launch that confused things.

Same issue here. Seems that playing with one monitor it works, but when i add second monitor (both 1440p) it will change the resolution to 720p. Tested this with G-sync off/on same issue. nvidia 436.15 drivers and msi 1080ti
