Did UBI just "cop out" of the Injuries System?
Apparently, now there is an infinite amount of Bandages. You no longer need to pick those up and you never run out of them.
While I guess its because they didn't want Injured players to limp for 30 minutes until they find a Bandage, I also think its a poor solution.
Now you are never injured for longer than the time it takes to apply a bandage. its no longer a system where your performance is endangered when you are on injury tier 3, because you never are. No longer a system where you are injured and need to hide rather than engage. No longer a system where you become underpowered until you loot bandages if you have none.
Now, if you are injured, you just need to find a few seconds to apply the bandage and that's it.
Than what's the point in the buff that gives you the Bivouac?
What's the point of the 3 tier injury system if you are most likely going to apply a bandage right when you reach injury tier 1 and never even reach Injury Tier 3?
If UBI felt they didnt want players who have no bandages to walk around injured for too long while they are looking for bandages, I would think it would be better if the player could fast travel to a Bivouac and craft bandages, or fast travel to the HUB base and buy some or get some for free, if he has no credits or anything that detracts from the player, but UBI, like UBI does, softened their own game to a point where a system(s) is pointless. they've done this in almost every game.
It looks like this system lost its purpose completely.... Unless im missing something here.
In the OTT one could carry a LOT of bandages (I think 20). So many, in fact, that looting them felt pointless because I was injured so rarely that I never got even remotely close to being out of bandages. I thought this system needed to make bandages more rare.... and they went the complete other direction and made them infinite.
Gotta say, im disappointed. This system could have been cool and meaningful, but I can't see how it's meaningful in its current state....
