Did UBI just "cop out" of the Injuries System?

Apparently, now there is an infinite amount of Bandages. You no longer need to pick those up and you never run out of them.
While I guess its because they didn't want Injured players to limp for 30 minutes until they find a Bandage, I also think its a poor solution.
Now you are never injured for longer than the time it takes to apply a bandage. its no longer a system where your performance is endangered when you are on injury tier 3, because you never are. No longer a system where you are injured and need to hide rather than engage. No longer a system where you become underpowered until you loot bandages if you have none.
Now, if you are injured, you just need to find a few seconds to apply the bandage and that's it.

Than what's the point in the buff that gives you the Bivouac?
What's the point of the 3 tier injury system if you are most likely going to apply a bandage right when you reach injury tier 1 and never even reach Injury Tier 3?
If UBI felt they didnt want players who have no bandages to walk around injured for too long while they are looking for bandages, I would think it would be better if the player could fast travel to a Bivouac and craft bandages, or fast travel to the HUB base and buy some or get some for free, if he has no credits or anything that detracts from the player, but UBI, like UBI does, softened their own game to a point where a system(s) is pointless. they've done this in almost every game.

It looks like this system lost its purpose completely.... Unless im missing something here.
In the OTT one could carry a LOT of bandages (I think 20). So many, in fact, that looting them felt pointless because I was injured so rarely that I never got even remotely close to being out of bandages. I thought this system needed to make bandages more rare.... and they went the complete other direction and made them infinite.

Gotta say, im disappointed. This system could have been cool and meaningful, but I can't see how it's meaningful in its current state....

I think you can actually get more than one injury at a time and bandages only heal one tier well i guess the few seconds it takes to heal a injury is already more than in any other ghost recon game also bandages dont regen health they just take your injury tier up if you want to heal you have to use a syringe.

To be honest i like this system more than just going down in wildlands and just lying there waiting for the AI to pick you up.

If that is the case I totally agree. I was looking forward to limping around, having to avoid contact and be more careful. Why have they changed it

Infinite bandages is probably for arcade difficulty or for the demo they were given.

    Yep.

Some key features as to why I was looking forward to this game have now apparently been thrown out the window....

Not a fan of unlimited bandages but that might just be for testing practicality, we don't know if that's intended for the full game as it would just make the mechanic of being injured redundant. I'm perfectly fine with having to scavenge resources and stock up from bivouac.

That must have been for testing, have you seen how **** some of those "professional game journalists" are at games these days?
There will be a limit to consumables, or the game is going to be a pushover to beat.

I could live with that if in a higher difficulty that wasn't the case. ......in other words, in Extreme difficulty bandages wouldn't be unlimited. On the other hand, there may be other elements to the gameplay that seem too arcadey to me that would make such a mechanic kind of a moot point in my eyes. ....perhaps even a bother as the rest of the elements kind of spoil what the injury mechanic was supposed to achieve.

I hope that's not the case but maybe they saw that as "too much" for what the rest of the game is.

Infinite bandages is probably a skill upgrade, just like stumble resistance, faster climbing, drain less stamina when climbing, etc.

C'mon! Try to think POSITIVE thoughts!

As noted; hopefully, it's a feature of one of the lesser difficulty levels!
