So I'm a former Destiny turned Division and Division 2 grinder - I love the Dark Zone in particular. I loved patrols in Destiny in particular. What I have yet to see in a console online loot shooter however is a free-roam with a factionally-based PvPvE experience, one in which a drop-in drop-out open world has players on two (or more) sides fighting each other - as well as the enemies of both populating the environment.

Which brings me to Tom Clancy's The Divided, my proposed title and concept for what will ultimately be known as The Division 3. Here's my attempt at marketing copy:

Atlantic City. Five years after the Green Poison. America is in ashes. SHD is fractured, with its remaining agents sworn to two sides vying for restoration - The Second Republic, led by President Andrew Ellis and The Black Thorn - pitted against The Liberty Front, led by Faye Lau and the JTF. Exploring the ruins of the former casino resort city in search of valuable resources to aid in the war effort, the rival agents battle each other as well as brutal gangs of unaligned criminals.

Choose your allegiance in Tom Clancy's The Divided.

Now obviously this is just spitballing on the internet, but I wanted to see if this pitch might get something resembling attention. In the current games there's PvP matches, there's SHD vs Rogues, Rogues vs other Rogues, and that's it - no permanence to the adversaries. What if the next installment forced players to choose a side (per character) with two separate story campaigns, and made the entire map conducive to encounters between those sides - maybe even made missions a race between hostile squads to capture an objective? Think The Last Stand PvPvE

As for my marketing copy and setting, fill in whatever you think sounds better for a backstory - Atlantic City is my attempt at an unorthodox pick that still makes sense geographically. However The Divided is the title because it signifies the core concept, and it sounds pretty badass.
