Getting this multiple times a day; caused me to have to redo a Pentagon mission (and they're really, really, really long) and today cost me my collectibles from Classified mission (and I cannot play it again for 5 days... for some reason?...). At this point I'm kind of done trying- scared to death to invest any amount of time (as that's the main goal of the game- investing your time) because it can be washed away. This is the only game doing this so it's not my hardware or drivers or anything else. Borderlands 3, Destiny 2, Warframe, Farming Simulator 2019, Elite Dangerous, * ANTHEM * , to name a few games I've played the last few days that are not crashing erratically. This same crashing is what happened the first month or so of the launch that was caused by DX12 if I remember correctly. But not turning it off (and shouldn't have to) to see.
As for the error code it doesn't give one. But in the event viewer in windows it's the good ole' EVENT4101 Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
Getting random CTD with no errors during open world and mission gameplay.
Windows 10 pro
rtx2060
64gb ram
Intel 8700K
Happens on both DX11 and 12
Graphics settings on High, Medium, and Low
I'd really love to play this game, too bad the game doesn't seem to want me to do it.
Good question! It should be up there.. Got massive random CTDs on Friday and sent crash reports every time. No error message, other than that the game has crashed... So weirdOriginally Posted by tracertong666 Go to original post
After the game has crashed constantly with me, whether under DX11 or DX12, that has finally fixed the issue!Update 2: spot shadow resolution = Crash with settings on High preset. spot shadow resolution off game runs fine. Almost afraid to make any more adjustments but it is working for now.![]()
