Hello my name is Steel, now I usually pop on for the For Honor forums but with everything that has been coming out for Siege and other games have inspired a rather interesting idea for an operator. I'm talking a western wrangler attacker with a net launcher, yes I am looking to yee haw on them spooky Caviera's and roamers for some sweet sweet revenge. (Yes I will address some of the issues ubisoft will face with this, mainly the limited gun options they have with the licensings) . With the reveal of Amaru I was inspired for the net launcher idea, this Op can utilize a net launcher to capture and reel in enemies to interrogate for enemy positions and finish off the operator with either a knife like Cavy or take it one step further and slam his spurs in their neck (gruesome but highly effective xD). Now it has inspired another smaller idea for the hostage gamemode, yes I am talking about netting the hostage and yoinking him out of the room so you don't have to enter the objective and risk death. Now some counters to this would be like lesion for example, dragging the hostage over lesion traps or through Kapkan traps can lead to mission failure as they will progressively kill the hostage or blow him to high hell. Clash would be effective as the net launcher would not be able to wrap around her and her shield Now for his guns, to help give him that true western feel Ubisoft could supply him with the GIGN revolver or Maestro's (sorry I'm not a gun nut, I don't have all the gun names memorized) Vigil and Dokkaebi's shotgun and if they want to give him his own unique gun they can give him a repeater to treat like a marksman rifle.
Now they may face many animation issue's like reeling in your enemy and eliminating their ability to crawl around, the brutal spurs to the neck IF they decided to do that, and then netting and reeling in a hostage. Remember this is just an idea, I think it would be pretty cool to continue developing characters that make others have a taste of their own medicine. OH and his operator image would be a lasso, and real quick before I go (thought of it as i was typing) an alternate secondary could be a sawed off double barrel shotgun! A breach tool or a way to swiss cheese your enemies, OR he uses it to kill the operator he interrogates (loud and compromising but a great way to get the message across to the roamers that they messed up)
While you make a valid point friend you must remember that Jackal can only track one individual person at a time for a LONG time. This would be like Caviera's ability where it reveals all operators for a short period of time. Then Lion only reveals the enemy if they are moving when the warning timer expires, but back to Jackal. Jackal can use his ability safely because the enemy doesn't have to be present for it to be used, with this Op you need to find the enemy operator and manage to connect the net with them. They can punish you by making the net loud alerting nearby roamers and your target if you were to miss, this would give enemy roamers a chance to find you and eliminate you before you can finish your interrogation. Also with having to find an enemy to use it on you run the risk of being in their line of sight when you do find them.
