Players do. I don't know if I'm just unlucky or if this is what you meet around every corner but I genuinely meet only toxic players, gankers, ledgers. They are absolutely delusional

For example:
I picked up Conqueror for the time being until Testing Grounds comes out and I'm okay-ish at him. Was fighting an Aramusha and I was winning by using full block stance in his combos, at the end he was 1 hp and he was turtling really hard. I bashed him once and kill him. Then suddenly him and his mate jump at my throat by calling me a bash spammer, ganking me the next round

Another time I was playing Cent, being an honorable opponent, waiting for my team mate to finish his 1v1. He loses but I turn the tide and win the round. Suddenly next round I find myself in a Stampede Charge in front of a ledge because ''Centurion is for noobs kys''

Some players just cannot take the L, whenever I lose I am respectful towards the opponent and drop a ''Good Fight!'' or when I see a really good Valk or PK player I usually congratulate them in all chat and I acknowledge the skill that they possess

The problem is the limited number of players. The game and beating a person up is too personal. If the game was like 25v25 it would be difficult to take the game personally so there is less reason to be toxic or any reason to care if an anonimus person handed you your buttox.
