The Main edition of Trials Rising, sold 25€ at launch, is definitely a scam, I can confirm from my personal experience.
Look, today I saw Rising and Rising Gold being currently on sale 50% off on Steam. It must be the 75th time since launch that this promo is made, no kidding, it's basically always on sale 50% off here or there. Has been since no more than 14 days (!!) after february's launch. That's how desperate they are. But the expansion pass alone, the one needed by 80% of playerbase who bought Rising to keep ranking and competing with others? Nah, this one has been the exception, not on sale once, not ONCE. Still and always the full 19,99€, or as much as Gold Edition itself has been for 7 months. And they think they're smart...
Like, It's one thing to lie about DLC being optional by removing relevant leaderboards for those who don't own it. It's another to sell DLC alone as much as Game+DLC for 7 months. But the two combined? Absolute scam. Everyone can read through your BS. Those guys would rather offer the game for free to their mothers and friends than cater and respect the existing players they baited with a "normal" subpar regular edition of the game, intentionally made obsolete after a few weeks. That's how few f**** they give, even when game is completely dead partly due to it. You can' alienate 80% of your playerbase without consequences.
So yeah, I can't speak to other versions of the game. Or all the thousands of technical and design issues. But make no mistake : regular edition of Trials Rising is a SCAM.
I warned about it months ago (see here : thread, even provided an efficient costless, easy to implement and proven solution) and of course nothing has changed. "Must not deviate from the scam script".I wouldn't be interested anymore anyway, even if they did, like many. Too little, too late. Never again Redlynx. Buy some good games people. Support some good devs. Not those schemy losers.
@FR_Dam143 Why didn't you buy the Gold Edition at launch? That was still cheaper than typical AAA games. With dlc pricing, that isn't just Ubi. It's common for dlc to be discounted less frequently than the base game, so it's always a risk if you're holding out on buying for that reason.
Calling the dlc optional is not a lie, nor is the game "obsolete" without it.
All Games drops in price after release. If people have a problem with games going on sale, they shouldn't buy games on release at all.
Early players get to play new games earlier than those who buy late.
Also. Trials Rising is a low priced game, and worth more than many 60$ games.
I bought it twice myself. For Xbox One X, and on Switch to get it portable.
Come on, that is just ridiculous. It's cleary the Devs fault. If something does not work properly on a system, don't release it on that system. Or tell the people that it wont work properly on their System so the can decide if they want to spend money on it.Doesnt work well on PS4 is seems but i'm guessing thats the systems fault.
