I'd say we're not playing the same mission!Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original postDoesn't make any sense of course. By appearances it would seem as if this was part 2 of the Rainbow 6 mission, but it isn't. SMH.
Have found faction warfare a hit or miss function with the "ground rules" - if that helo doesn't crash (not crash-land) almost on top of a cartel thug; then no one goes on alert, and they just stare at each other. A red flare doesn't get them to engage either. So I guess if you want to tole-play as Unidad and go get that assistant - you're not going to get air support ...![]()
Do you perhaps have part 2 of the R6 mission active at the same time? That looks like the R6 mission is overlaid with the Chemtrails mission in bad guy positions. Like you are playing both missions at once.Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post
I don’t think so but it could be a glitch/bug. I finished the Archangel mission on the weekend and then played in Espirtu Santo in between so it’s hard to imagine how the missions might get confused, but anything’s possible. I would like to think this is not normal... it’s a ridiculous number of enemies.Originally Posted by Bone_Frog Go to original post
When Chemical Trail was done previously "without issue" using stealth as you stated, was the building crawling with NPCs, as it is when part 2 of the R6 mission is active?Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post
It's definitely a bug. I experienced something similar with several other missions, just not this one ... yet. First playthrough would go on as usual and every consecutive would prespawn enemies that should only spawn when in close proximity otherwise. In your particular case "Chemical trail" is basically using a part of the mission script from "Operation Archangel". There shouldn't be almost anyone inside buildings during Chemical trail, 1-2 enemies patrolling inside at the most and around 30 enemies total (<40, depending on RNG). Silent Spade Snafu also has this problem and sometimes it would prespawn enemies at Barvechos city, thus allowing alternative approach.Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post
Not sure what could have caused this bug to occur though. Fast travel, restart due to mission failure (this usually creates unstable environment) or incomplete mission. Try to do both parts of "Operation Archangel" in a single take without fast traveling, dying or restarting the mission on a lower difficulty level. Wait for the game to save and go through at least one cycle of auto-saving during free roam (15-20 mins to be on the safe side). Then close the game, start it back up, replay "Chemical trail" and see if that changes anything.
I should still have a recording of my "Chemical trail" run, mentioned earlier. Gonna upload it later today or early tomorrow.
I think he is doing the Rainbow 6 mission. On those missions, they are a ton of enemies. The normal Chemical Trail mission there isn't that many. Are you having to get her brother out the top fo the building and take him to the safe house? If so that this the RB6 mission. The Chemical Trail mission you just talk to the scientist on the second floor and he calls Marcus Jensen and tells him to meet him at the Witches Market. The Rainbow 6 mission fits that large amount of enemies that you are seeing.
I don't remember. I don't remember there being so many bad guys - that's all. It sounds like (on Reddit) there is a known bug that has affected others in the same way, where it's combining enemies from both missions.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
Not according to what's on his screen shot (see the notification in upper left corner). The issue is what's the bug/glitch within his game at that specific time that makes it appear as if the second half of the R6 mission has become "active" regarding NPC count/placement.Originally Posted by KILLER_K_3000 Go to original post
I'm guessing you didn't have this issue previously; given what you came across here was such a shock!!Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post![]()
Bug or Glitch you can clearly see the NPC location is on the top floor of the first building. That is the location of her brother that you have to extract. The scientist is located in the other building on floor 2. But this game has had broken things in it since the beginning though. Most of the main problems that they claimed to have fixed. Is still in the game since the very beginning of it. I would like to see the Reddit link he found and do some extra reading. I would like to reproduce it as well.
