    Ping abuse

How about some segregation between players with normal ping and players thar are just teleporting all over the map? At ping below 30 im constantly getting parried against guys with ping 150+... Pls sort this thing out finally...

I, too, feel like players with high ping have an advantage over those who keep it low. There is something in this "lag compensation" that simply puts lagging players foremost, even allowing them to have glitchy animations. For example, I've seen lagging players drop heavy attack without starting indicators, all I saw was me staggering and receiving damage while the lagging player didn't even play a single animation (they just stood there).

Btw I once emailed game support about this (a few seasons ago) but to be honest I doubt they'll ever do anything about it, they just said that they acknowledged it.

I agree with you, too many of them

    I agree

players, who have ping more than 100 are almost cheaters.

Those players must be separated from normal players.

Even if a few of them are not intended anything but happened because of their bad computing conditions.
It's far better for good of the majority of normal players.

If someone want to play 'for honor', he or she should deal with their own problems not some others to be suffered.

But the devs could help it: maybe don't adjust the low ping players to the high ping players (causing hidden attacks and weird behaviour) but make the high ping players adjust to everyone else and attack later (when they sync up with others). It would be that simple (I mean, implementing it probably isn't that simple), so the disadvantage would be on the high ping players' side for not playing on a stable connection - and I guess there are more players with stable connections than players with high pings, so less players would complain, too.

It's just not fair that I'm doing everything to play nicely with game-compatible ping numbers and other ruin my game with glitchy moves because they forgot to shut off a download or something.

They cant do it ping often shifts.
If you've seen proper server-client games (well, I'm unsure about For Honor, because in theory there are dedicated servers for 4v4 matchmade games but AFAIK it started out with P2P networking), you probably also saw that high ping players are usually the ones at disadvantage, because the server is the thing that knows the truth: if you lag, your indication to attack reaches the server later and everyone else sees that you started attacking later -> only the high ping player will see glitching (his "true" attack started later, he couldn't sync up getting parried in time etc.).

In contrast, as I see it, For Honor somehow tries to compensate even very high pings: if a high ping player starts an attack but fails to sync that up in time with others, s/he is not going to glitch, but others might miss the fact that s/he is already in the middle of a move, resulting in every normal player experiencing hidden/teleporting/glitching moves, randomly receiving damage without animations and attack indicators etc. (which, I think, breaks the game because you just can't react to these moves - also, they're probably not supposed to work like that)

So no, the devs could improve it (as many other multiplayer games prove that they can do better), the For Honor devs just (for some reason) chose to handle lag this way - which (probably) makes the experience a little better for lagging players, but worse for everyone else if one player lags (but maybe it makes the game feel smoother). I personally don't believe that high ping players should be "helped" this much (especially because there are more non-lagging players) but I consider kicking them a rather drastic measure (maybe if their average ping for a minute is above 70-80, then they could be warned or possibly kicked).

PS: I was expressing how I believe the game works as I don't know the code that powers networking in the game.

Just to demonstrate, here's a fight's recording where probably the Valkyrie was the one lagging. Notice how (near the end) the Valkyrie blocks my attack (at first), but she actually parried it (on her end). I only received the blocking effect and sound, but I got a light parry stagger: https://imgur.com/a/1RiUxES

Ping doesnt shift over 100 randomly. Thats not a thing. Maybe if your windows 10 randomly started another "great" forced download. In which case you should be removed from the game really.

Autobanning people who have 100 ping for even a second is a no brainer.

Every single person ive seen run over 100 ping does it purposefully to gain an advantage during gameplay by abusing characters that get free wins on high ping.

I think the "duel"modes dont use dedicated server mode at all. It exactly behaves like "p2p" period.
