Hi! So I just downloaded For Honor twice (Because apparently it wasn't enough from Epic Games, I had to from Ubisoft as well...), all is downloaded, but when I want to launch the game, I'm greated with an error that says, that it's unable to start the game, 'cuz it was apparently moved (I straight up installed it in a second parcell, not C, which was never a problem before). After a lot of game file verifies and failed attempts to launch the game, I stumbled upon the "logs" map, in which I found the following:
ERROR WinMain.cpp (63) Failed to write registry keys.
Now, I'm not entirely sure what this means, all I know it stops me from playing the game. Any solutions?
I'm sorry to hear that the issue persists, Akoskamakos. With file verification done, and all launchers running with administrator rights, could you please complete the rest of our basic PC troubleshooting steps? In particular, ensuring that you have the most up-to-date version of Uplay PC directly from our website, rather than installed via the game client itself, would be beneficial.Originally Posted by Akoskamakos Go to original post
If you do reinstall Uplay PC, please ensure to back up your save games and any profile data first from the Ubisoft Game Launcher directory! It's found here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher
the fact you downloaded it twice indicates that you did not direct uplay towards your game files. Maybe this post helps you out as it would decribe you the process in case of a transfer to steam. https://www.reddit.com/r/forhonor/co...ut_want_it_on/Originally Posted by Akoskamakos Go to original post
Hope it helps
i had the same error:
i execute the game outside the epicgame launcher and the UPLAY application was updated, after it requested to install again the game but you have to cancel here.
D:\epicgames\Epic Games\AssassinsCreedOdyssey\ACOdyssey.exe
finally i tried to execute again from epicgames launcher and it worked.
