    DirectX 12 still makes the game crash to desktop - any updates?

    Dear The Division 2 Support-Team,

    DirectX 12 will still crash the game to desktop, sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after 2 hours. It appears to occur randomly. The newest GeForce Game Ready 431.60 WHQL driver did not fix the issue. Instead, NVIDIA confirms in the release notes of the driver https://us.download.nvidia.com/Windo...ease-notes.pdf on page 14:

    [Tom Clancy's The Division II]: The game may crash when played in DirectX 12 mode. [2587043/200406322]
    Therefore my question: Is there any news on your end concerning the DirectX 12 crashes? Are you working on something? I would love to play the game in DirectX 12 since it makes the game run much smoother compared to DirectX 11, but the crashes make it very annoying - especially if you are crashing in the middle of organized group content like the raid.

    Kind regards

    S3lll

    I think a lot of the player base just runs TD2 on DX11 instead and just avoid DX12 because it is still buggy and this is a Microsoft related issue also but I have discovered the crashing that I was having was two issue the DX12 which I now run DX11 and the other crash related issue was my XMP Memory Profile in my motherboard BIOS which runs your system memory timings at a higher clock speed if it has the programming for example my memory is Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 2133mhz and when XMP is enabled it runs at 3000mhz and TD2 seems very sensitive on memory timings, though I haven't seen any crashes at my end when the CPU and graphics card gets boosted automatically as you play, in a sense it is very possible the CTD (crashing-to-desktop) happing to many players could be related to overclocking due some people(Techies) who push those CPUs, GPUs and Memory to the limit.

    Hey everyone! The crucial part of reporting this issue is verifying if you have the same issue on DX11. If you have no issues on DX11, that is something we would want to investigate. If you have performance issues with DX11 and DX12, this is a completely different issue we can look into for you.

    To get assistance, you will need to submit your MSINFO files, and please state if you have this issue on DX11 and DX12.

    @RedIndianRobin As I stated previously:

    To get assistance, you will need to submit your MSINFO files, and please state if you have this issue on DX11 and DX12.
    I checked your account in our system, and do not see a ticket currently open about this issue. If you would like assistance with this issue, please submit your files and state if you only have this issue with DX12 or DX11 as well, and then send me a DM with your ticket number.
