    TC Splits?

Has there been any communication through FB, Twitter, Streams, etc., that Ubi/RL is aware of this missing? Splits are a huge part of any time based game, and its pretty incredible that its entirely missing from TC. Very hard to get motivated to grind a track, when i have no idea how im doing. I could race my ghost. But that requires much more attention to watch then checking my splits. If anyone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This seems like a big miss indeed. I don't race TC tracks for this exact reason. Hopefully it'll be fixed in the next update.

I was hoping so as well snq, but theres been no mention that Ubi/RL are even aware this is killing the community. I was hoping theyve discussed on another platform besides the Official Forum, but ive found no trace. Hoping for a shadow fix at this point, or some kind of acknowledgment.

I've never seen it mentioned as a known issue so it looks like a deliberate design decision.

    Just an mind-bendingly baffling one.

I gave up racing my ghost because I get put off concentration when we are neck and neck, I would much rather be able to just look at my lead time whenever I feel I can without risking crashing, even in the in game tracks this lead time is only displayed for a short time after each checkpoint, in the old games it would remain on screen until the next checkpoint which gave you more freedom to look when it's safe rather than be forced to look immediately before it disappears

Also not seen it mentioned anywhere. Maybe we should open a ticket and make them aware of the issue. If a few of us do this they might just have a look into it.

To open a ticket go here: https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/games/5302 and scroll to the bottom and click on 'sign in to open a support case'
    I have just opened one

Deliberate design decision? A cretinous one, if that is the case.

Split times are a fundamental part of Trials.

I can no longer play against my ghost in tc tracks, I definitely could a couple of weeks ago but now there are no splits and no ghosts. Has this happened due to the last update/patch? I would imagine it's a bug rather than a purposeful design as evo and fusion both had ghosts and splits.
Hopefully we can get a response from the devs soon about this because this could easily be a game breaker for most.

I too just launched a Case. And i agree, poor design choice, and if they thought racing your ghost would be enough, Smeg has it right. When a race is dowb to .001 secs, looking at a ghost on the bar in the top right corner is downright impossible. Quickly glancing at my split is much easier and understandable. Really hoping they address this soonish.

It's become such a habit in Trials games to keep a running tally of the splits, figuring out where you can save time and how much, and building an idea of what your ideal run would look like. It allows you to set goals that keep you motivated to keep playing. When the splits disappear after a second you never get a chance to read them, and when they don't appear at all in TC, it feels like there's no point to run tracks more than once.

The disappearing splits was one of the first things I remember noticing in the closed beta a whole year ago. Being so used to the previous games it was immediately jarring and it's a disappointment for it to not be addressed after all this time.
