I can't believe people still don't know when to attack the Guardian in breach mode. Every match I play, people attack the Guardian the SECOND he appears, and all this does is boost the team to attack minions. Lmao, seriously.
You really should wait to kill him until the inner gate is about 3/4 destroyed. There's a specific number of hits the gate requires from the ram, but it escapes me.
Once the gate is almost destroyed, and the guardian is killed, the gate SHOULD be on its last hit. Once it's down, rush the Commander with the boosts.
I know it sounds stupid, but imagine a game mode that requires team work and actual thinking.
that's surely a nice tactic, but not the only one out there to follow. Besides: The guardian, just like the banner, can spawn up to two times per phase. So if you have the moment to spare as everything goes smooth OR totally down south and you need a way to get a boost in reknown to activate some feats the guardian is a good option to go for.Originally Posted by RoosterIlluzion Go to original post
btw As you said breach requires some thinking here and there but I don't think those that don't do that are going to be reached by a post in the forums (not to mention in a subforum that is rarely visited to begin with)
Your tactic is interesting, but I think it's far too situational to be used in all games. First, the timing must be perfect, the guardian will disappaer if your ram breaks down the door if you are late, but the ram will be stopped if you are early. Enemy players might join and slay the guardian if they figure out what are you doing. Lastly, there is no guarantee you can damage the commander heavily enough, some of the boost will be wasted while running up to him, through enemy minions and players, and if they coordinate their feats well, they might still stop you from effectively reaching him.
True, but oddly enough I have only had the guardian spawn once in the last twelve matches or so. I'm not even certain what the necessary parameters are for him to spawn.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
Fair enough, although you can use that very well too as a distraction. Fighting the guardian can draw the other team in. If your team manages to do so, having one quick mate sneak out an get the banner is a valid option then.Originally Posted by Night_Fury147 Go to original post
The art of getting the banner is not only to get the timing right but also to keep the opponents busy and unaware. Mates fighting the other team over the healthpoint instead of the rempart can also suddenly do sth real benifial to your cause.
