Please add a banning faze before matches (example each team gets to ban off a certain character like rainbow because there are to many op characters in For Honor e.g; light/heavy spamming, bleed effects, stamina draining to much hyper armour on unnecessary characters, I suggest characters that abuse the same attack more than 4 times lose stamina more quickly, characters like shugoki, hitokiri and raider should not have as much hyper armour, characters like Lawbringer and warden/ people with iron armour on should have hyper armour. Please get the communities opinion before adding new characters to For Honor as the yr 3 characters so far are to O.P as Jormungandr can just abuse the hammer bash that drains stamina, once again Hitokiri does not deserve hyper armour. And please quiet down the Chinese faction and if possible make them a DLC for story mode.
-Tip #1: Bring back the animations for killing minion soldiers
-Tip #2: Get rid of the perks and put some gear stats
-Tip #3: Give us the chance to have matches in Valkenheim more
-Tip #4: Remove the background music in the customization menu and put one of the factions' soundtracks depending on which one you customize
-Tip #5: Please allow neutral color in brawl
-Tip #6: Give the Warden a cape
-That's it!
i dont expect you to make big changes to For Honor - but incase devs are reading these - perhaps you could use this for the potential For Honor 2.
take a look at the conventional fighting game and take note that all of them use the same kind of resource management. they dont use stamina (bars that gets depleted as you fight), but "ragebars" (bars that gets filled as you fight).
they abandoned stamina bars after realizing it does nothing but slow down the game, while the ragebars function to unlock better versions of your existing moves throughout the fight as it is getting more intense (unblockables, armored and/or faster attacks) which can be used to open people up or as a comeback factor, which effectively makes the dreaded Revenge this game has, pointless (yay).
also implementing a small pushback on connecting and blocked attacks adds range to being a factor for combinations and also removes most of these staring contests people had back during the turtle meta where you walked up to someone close enough to smell their deodorant yet noone made a move. it was weird times, playing a big buff viking Raider yet somehow you couldn't do a thing to the tiny little Peacekeeper standing 1 inch away from you.
so yeah, if you truly are aiming to make a competitive game, take a look at the 2d fighters and see what you can do with that in a 3d game like For Honor.
removing the GB staredowns and making range a factor like it was obviously meant to be by taking a quick look at Kensei, Nobushi, Valk and Lawbringer.
i think this game could become a lot more aggressive and fluid along with having more depth where you had to use different combinations as a result of different matchups having different ranges where they could be effective + ragebar to make the fight evolve into different stages where all of a sudden the enemy has enough to use an unblockable and you know it, changing the way you would approach.
maybe it's getting too 2d fighteresque? not sure, but i would certainly like to see this made, in a star wars setting, with lightsabers, which i know i have hinted at a few times before. hope im not getting too repetitive.
I believe For Honor is a great game and their is not much that I would change at this moment, but their Is one thing that I hope to discuss at this moment In time. I believe that you should be able to get a refund on a character before they reach rank one. I hope someone will get this and take in into consideration, thank you.
