I try to start Rainbow Six Siege (I know this is the forum for For Honor, but I guess the problem is the same) and the Epic launcher says: 'An Epic Games service is unavailable at the moment.' What to do?

I recieved my first free copy through Epic Games as well, but i know that it auto installs UPlay launcher and does not use the Epic Launcher for the game.

Once you get the game through EPIC you have t use UPLAY and the game is now apart of your ubisoft game library and can be downloaded Direct through UPlay. EPIC wont even download the entire game now, it will download about 53% then install UPlay and launch UPlays installer instead. EPIC only worked during the free give away for ubisoft.


It was a nice promotion, they got a purchase from me if not for EPIC i wouldnt have even known about the game, there is a lot of stuff to look at now days.

You will be fine DL through UPlay, i know alot of people prefer STEAM launcher , but Uplay for ubisoft games is best bet.

Hope my input about that bug helps out. In fact more problems happened using EPIC to install Uplay than i can count.

Please do check if there is an existing thread which matches your issue already over there. As a quick tip, though, I'd recommend completing our connectivity troubleshooting steps for Uplay PC, as well as contacting Epic Games for more information about the error, as it may be that they are having issues with their services at the time of trying to connect.

yo i recently just installed rainbow six siege and i have the same problem where it says an "epic games service is unavailable at this moment try again later"

Just to confirm, this is when initially launching and trying to link your Epic account with Uplay? If so, please try running through the troubleshooting steps in the guide here.

I'm having same issue, tried ot launch the free trial of Tom Clacys divison 2 free weekend, it installed correctly, but as soon as I try to launch game, I'm getting UPlay login, entering credentials shows "epic games service is unavailable at this moment try again later".
Is the server down at the moment ?

The free weekend ended 13:00 EST | 17:00 UTC, so that may explain why you were unable to play.

Also, please try to stick to the correct forum for the game you are having issues with

I bought rainbow six siege on epic games but when i login and enter the 2 step verification it goes back to the login and says "An Epic Games service is unavailable at the moment. Please try again later. I tried last night around 10:00 pm and i tried again today at 4:30 pm. I dont know what to do
