What is going on with skill builds?
All I am seeing is Seeker mines in Heroic missions. Is the shooting in The Division 2 over?
A few folks have mentioned still not getting they're Eagle Bearer, as it stands, besides the current Raid, there is little point in having one. If you need a team on Heroic and actually have the E.B you wont get to shoot over all the seekers.
Just tried to run a Heroic, had to leave. We had two 3K skill builds just throwing seekers everywhere. The only thing I actually get to shoot is heavies. Pointless and tbh boring.
I'm finding myself actually leaving teams as soon as s skill build joins, not because I have anything against it, everyone should be able to play the way they want, but the problem is I cant personally because once all the bang bang bang has happened there is nothing left to shoot, and I'm not a huge fan of running into a room and tapping one button whilst the game kills everything for me...
In Div 1 skill builds were good for solo Legend's and a few other things, so yh I used them and I'm glad to see the new skills in Div 2, but I cant help but feel the skill power is a little O.T.T. 4 players in a team and two us literally didn't get to shoot a thing because the other two were just dropping seekers and 3 seconds we onto next area, rinse and repeat.
For five months skill builds were at the bottom rung of the ladder and playing in a team of three other max dps gun builds was just as dull for me too. What you're seeing now is a product of two things: Destructive builds are the easiest to put together so they are the first to become widely seen, and it's a fad that will die out soon enough. The other skill builds are more fun, hader to use and can get almost as much damage. My Flame Turret/Firestarter build does as much damage as my non-destructive Seeker/Bombardier Drone build, but isn't as fast at clearing.Originally Posted by Hard..Knocks Go to original post
You didn't have to leave; you chose to.
As long as the next exotics are rolled out.Originally Posted by Hard..Knocks Go to original post
And just to be fair, since march - for five months -, it was only Gun'n'Run, "Run like hell", and also "hell" for skill builds, I appreciate the diversity! Besides, I still see more Eagle Bearers and Diamondbacks than BTSU Datagloves.
From my point of view, Diamondbacks are overtaking Washington DC, Mr. Hard..Knocks!
I would suggest playing Discovery Mode or even the Raid itself. That is a guarantee no SB game modes. The Raids are built for hard DPS/Gun Builds. As said above SBs are only popular cause everyone got tired of melting everything with GBs. Soon a new Raid will be here and they will have to drop the SBs to go be a GB.
Another "shoe is on the other foot" thread.
Only if you want it to be.Originally Posted by Hard..Knocks Go to original post
Chose to, you mean.Just tried to run a Heroic, had to leave.
Pretty rude, IMO, but you're right in there is no sense in playing in a way you don't enjoy.I'm finding myself actually leaving teams as soon as s skill build joins....,
Sounds like you need to get a group of like-minded players together for your sessions or start going solo. Maybe start a "looking for mates (or clan) with this play style" thread, here or on reddit....not because I have anything against it, everyone should be able to play the way they want, but the problem is I cant personally because once all the bang bang bang has happened there is nothing left to shoot, and I'm not a huge fan of running into a room and tapping one button whilst the game kills everything for me...![]()
I can picture it now.... a gun-only clan with "skill builds not allowed" in the description.
That's based on the assumption the next Raid is going to be like the first one. If it's going to be more like the Incursions from TD1 it might be very different. I'm not ruling out the possiblity that Massive will introduce the need for a dedicated Healer or Shield build in upcoming content.Originally Posted by YodaMan 3D Go to original post
