    Option to Surrender

We need this, Ubisoft please, the reason breach won't stay alive is because it's so poorly balanced due to the crap match making, if it snowballs in the favor of the attackers you make an entire team just sit though dying for 45 minutes when a dom match against such a team would have just steamrolled via points and GG.

Or a mercy rule? it's not fun sitting though a game where you get curb stomped and can't do anything about it, at least with the other modes curb stompped games end quickly.

I agree, it definitely needs a surrender vote.

Playing devil's advocate here, but wouldn't that just lead to people surrendering before or directly after the first gate goes down?

If you had a surrender then everyone would give up pretty easy, you wouldn't see many games finishing, I think it would take the fun out of it.

I agree with your take on Breach though, I won't even play it without a pre-made group. If you play with randoms there's a good chance you'll get stomped.

I don't think that's fair. I mean, if people want to surrender then let them surrender. If everyone does surrender after the first gate goes down than that might just be evidence to support a poorly designed game mode, but I think you'd be surprised. I don't ever vote to surrender in games unless my team is clearly outmatched.

If they did allow surrender, what would you expect for rewards? 1/3 of the match completetion? Or less? It would have to be a low ammount so people couldn't surrender directly after the match starts and pocket the steel and xp over and over.

I think it could work if the developers put in a system that would be able to tell when a team is absolutely outmatched, and give them the option to surrender, no earlier than 10 mins after the match starts.

At the end of the day though, there are already pretty easy ways to get around the quit penalty if that's your main concern about quitting.

Why couldn't they just lock the option until about half way into the second phase or something like that? By then you should know if you can possibly come back or not, or if your teammates quit and whatnot.

I really don't think it would be any different than other games that have the surrender option.

Imo you shouldn't get anything if you surrender, so just get the XP for whatever everyone's done so far and then leave them with that.

I think in certain situations it should be allowed.

Let's say all your teammates leave mid-game or at the beginning and now you're left with 3 bots. At that point you should have the option to opt out and not be forced to endure the thrashing from a full enemy team. Say GG and call it quits.

Yes it ends the match prematurely. But at least then the team with 4 players who didn't leave can start matching sooner and it prevents other players from having the unfortunate luck of getting matched into a game where their team is already losing really badly because everyone else left.

Either that or another idea would be for when a team is breaking, if their score is way to low to make any sort of comeback or a player is the last one alive. If he knows he's not going to be able to survive a 4 player gank, then he should be have the option to "lay down his arms" and surrender with dignity.

Would certainly be a better option than being the last person on your team to die and get executed while a bunch of raiders dry hump your corpse.
