What are you supposed to do without a bash? Parry her? what if she just infinitely spams you with her unreactable bashes? I'm curious what can you do when you are locked down by her. Dodge attack her? she can feint the bash into parry. wait for a parry? wait for a parry on a characters with variable timed heavies...
people who main her have chosen the easy way out. I'm not complaining cause I don't have her. I have every character in the game except Jorm, but that's about to change in 19 hours. I complain cause I can't do anything in a duel against her

First off get through your head that without a bash based hero you are gonna be in for a fight with her. Which is good. You shouldn’t go through expecting to run over anyone. As for Hito you generally shouldn’t try to parry as you already know, you may be able to take advantage over her recovery. Her missing a heavy ect. If you find yourself caught in the mixup they generally don’t expect you to go on the offensive. Hito is considered one of the best duelists atm.
A read will be made but you can light the kick if you can space correctly. If she fients to GB you can attack through it. It’s all about reads. She has to read what you are going to do as much as you do.
As I should reiterate, spacing is a very good tool against her. Also understand her weaknesses. Walking backwards plus dodge WITH spacing will help against her bash if she wiffs into it.
What character do you play? It would be easier to explain that way. I’ll definitely help you fight her if you can give me details on how you fight and who you play with.
I'll give you this, Hito is really built with not great players in mind, just go play her in training for a bit, she can just heavy trade out of every engagement, this has been the pattern with each new hero.....they are easy, BP can just shield spam people to death, but he has a deeper complexity if you want it, Hitori is just the worst game design ever, mountains of hyper armor and uninterruptible attacks,built to make heavy spam effective and Jorm is just Cent but for people who can't land a charged pin.
You can't do much against her if you don't play specific heroes, and even then it's not easy. She's an S-tier duelist after the recent patch, her offense is easy to get into while difficult to stop, her unreactable mixup leads right back into it, she has 4 different parry timings on her attacks and she can react to your indicators with her excessively early hyperarmor heavy, making it either a trade or a parry.
You have to guess right when fighting her, not much else to add. I dare say there's nothing reaction-wise about dealing with Hitokiri, she's purely read-based.
I agree with the post above, the kick/sweep is reactable, the way you can tell if a hito is good or not, is if you see a hito only trading hits with the heavy, or only trying to light spam, which I play on console, her lights are parryable, you really just have to turtle her, wait for a light, or make a read on the sweep cancel.

If she misses an attack and you try to punish she flows into light finisher that has hyper armor. You can read that, too, sure. If she feints the kick into gb that's when it is unreaactable, rolls don't save you anymore.The only way to avoid her mix up is dodge right away then dodge one more time if she does the sweep, and that only works if she doesn't feint to gb. Back dodges do NOT help, I tried it. If you space out and back dodge you can dodge the mix up but you can't reach her with the gb. I play Cent and I try soft feinting my heavy into gb but my opponents don't want to parry and just sit there, then they start off their combo with a light or a heavy with variable timings and then I'm in the kick zone again. Not to mention sometimes I dodge the kick but she turns around weirdly in my direction and i still get kicked, it looks like she teleports. She needs a nerf, she counters literally everyone in the game and it's not healthy. Either make her recovery on the sweep as long as Shugoki's Hug, remove HA from kick sweep, or just don't give her the ability to feint the mix up. Also a HA delay on the heavies would be good since she can fail parries all day
