    Heroic difficulty ruined by explosive builds.

    After seeing the proposed buffs to skills i was afraid of the explosive ones as i knew they with their AOE can trivialize Heroic difficulty which is the only end game co op content we have.

    Didn't think massive would go as said in Tropic Thunder "Full ******" and buff both cool downs AND damage by a insane amounts while adding the BTSU gloves as a cherry on top. But here we are...

    Now one build removes the ability in a CO OP mode to even participate as they constantly kill everything by proccing BTSU ---> use SEEKER ---> wave dead ---> pick up Demo GL ammo ---> wave 2 dead ----> rinse repeat...

    No gun build has ever been this obnoxious and cancerous for what is supposed to be the real end game where you need to work together at least to some capacity. Having one build killing 80% of everything regardless of what other players are running where they can't even participate is wrong. Gun builds have never been able to do that

    And it makes me angry. I could see the writing on the wall as one of our clan members had the season pass and got the gloves on his first try. He had been collecting skill gear all along so it only took him that first evening to have the build done. The novelty of him killing everything wore of quite quickly and by day two after the patch release we made a pact in the clan as to no one would use explosive skills when playing co op within the clan as the experience is miserable for the 3 others. The person agreed that it was stupid and stopped.

    But sometimes to play a game you have to MM and then... 6/6 today looked like this

    And that's not even one of the worst ones. Issue is there is nothing to even shoot at.

    I tried to raise the issue to warn people/Massive that they went to far but no one believed me or simply came back with childish comments like
    "skill builds have been bad for so long so it's fine"
    "build XYZ is OP so it's fine that explosive skill builds are also OP"

    Because of this

    1. Demo GL ammo needs to be restricted to MAX 2 ammo/mission not the 10-20 they now have or 5min cool down/shot
    2. Destructive needs to go down to 5-10%
    3 One of the two
    - Nerf Seeker , mortar and bombadier
    or
    - Nerf btsu gloves to 5%

    As with any cancer the quicker you cut it out the better. And i don't use the word cancer lightly. My mother has had breast cancer, my grandmother died of lung cancer, my grandfather of liver cancer and i my self will more than likely also go down to cancer at some point.

    But make no mistake explosive skill builds are a cancer on the co op end game of Division 2

    I played with an AR build that I have used the raid on Viewpoint Invaded Heroic. We had several people running skill builds. I had most kills and damage.

    Of course the scoreboard after mission could have been busted.

    And that's not even one of the worst ones. Issue is there is nothing to even shoot at.

    I did Viewpoint Heroic with a few people last Friday with an AR build that I used in the Raid. I had top damage and kills. At least two people in our group had skill builds. I was using an eagle bearer.

    Scoreboard is often busted tho. It could have been a glitch.

    I personally find nothing wrong with things. They should nerf and buff around the Raid and not Challenging/Heroic missions PvE Missions.

    I agree on everything you wrote down. I just hope they do come up with something concrete. I just feel they are milking such issues to buy the game more time, its a double edge sword tbh.

    I think they feel great. Its made the game much more enjoyable and im actually playing it again now.

    A lot of people are loving how they are now useful. The idea was to make them a viable alternative to Gun Builds. They accomplished this.

    The power creep on explosive damage(Destructive) can be an issue tho. Still, some might argue that hard-hitting has the same problem.

    I personally was not enjoying the Gun Builds running, gunning, and facetanking everything with just a few shots. So if need to nerf SBs, then Gun Builds need a nerf as well. Cause we don't want anyone enjoying the game on any level.

    Link your build and character stats OP so we can all see how much effort you have put into it. Let's actually see if you have a "decent competitive build that's being grossly overshadowed by a skill build.

    All the players I meet in Heroic PVE at the moment are 300hrs in fake Rambo's charging forwards like it's COD.

    Skill builds are fun and fine for those that like them now the same as Eagle bearer builds are for those players.

    No more nerfs! Having passable skill builds - since Title Update 5 -, is a addition to the possibilities the game offers, the more diversity, the more better. I don't want an one dimensional game. I want something for every one.

    Jefferson Plaza is one of those missions that's pretty easy for explosive AoE and Fire to dominate. Of course the same could be said of most inside missions now that I think about it.

    Edit: oops hit the reply button far too early.

    That said, knowing when and where the enemies spawn is the main factor in racking up such a high kill count. He most likely was positioning himself to catch the spawns right when they popped up.

    Stuff like this was possible even before the Episode 1 skill changes.
