Making Tiandi "decent" in 2 simple steps.

I like what you did with valk, she is now a playable character. Not great but definitely playable. Along those lines of simple changes that have a large impact i suggest the following to apply the same treatment to Tiandi:

    - His heavy dodge attack needs to be shorter or cancelable earlier. Make it exactly the same overall tempo as Kensei but still cancelable - boom fixed.
No clue why the "dodge expert" (that is a quote!) has one of the worst dodge attacks in the game. As it is right now you can heavy dodge Raider heavy chain starter -> he cancels into top light, misses and then goes to the next heavy AND THE HEAVY HITS TIAND FIRST! It doesnt even trade. Tiandi just gets rekt. That is how slow this thing is.

    - Give his bash and chain lights/heavies slightly more range.
Tiandi actually has a decent tool to open people up. His combo mixups especially after whiff (you light the air then mixup). But as it is right now the opponent literally has to walk into your mixup after whiff so you can reach. The increase in range on all options is important so you wont be able to dodge on 1 timing or just parry direction on indicator which ive seen quite a few people do. Not sure whats happening with Tiandis lighs here but these seemed more parryable than any other 400ms attack.

The damage he gets off this mixup is fairly low overall so this is absolutely not going to make him top tier. Just playable and enjoyable.

Agreed for all of this Tiandi main, damage is rather low, stamina more so and the range on a few of the attacks are horrendous and seems to cause people to easily dodge me.

The three most important tiandi changes for me:

    1. Sew the mouth close.
    2. Place something on his head to hide his face.
    3. If he dodgeheavies into an object, piroutting in place like some clown, and my attacks go right through him, it would be a nice thing if he would take damage. As far as I know, he is not just an incorporal voice that irritates people, a sword shouldn't just go through his body.
