Do you have any ideas what might be causing the gunfire sound issues? Do you play in groups? Play certain content? Any tips might help us!

Not sure on his exact experience but only time I’ve had it occur it is linked to combat involving high quantity of explosives, ie drones, robot launchers, and npc grenadiers. The shell shock style muffling from the explosion seems to bug if hit rapidly by the sound effects causing loss of most sounds. However a simple complete logout and closing of the game corrects the issue. So most likely a cascading error from the rapid succession bombardment that trips a fault in the sound files would be my guess.

Haven’t personal had it occur in solo play even in challenging missions. Each time has been in higher difficulty full team missions which increase the number of potential sound sources.

I've had this happen to me in the past. I was solo doing a stronghold mission and it will cut out and back in. In order to completely fix it I had to log completely out and restart my console. Then log back in and it fixes the issue. Since, I've completed the stronghold mission it went completely away.

Sorry to hear you're still experiencing this issue, Blkshadow01.

Can you confirm if you're using headphones at all? If so, what brand?

It's exactly what happen originally Redbeard that was fixed, you'd lose gunfire, then few other things then everything would be gone.

Not sure what caused it to be unfixed! it's certainly happening a lot less than when it was released that's for sure.

    Hey Ubi-Redbeard,

I was not using headphones at the time when this happened. All my sound settings are default. If it happens again I'll get a video of it happening and post to the thread.

Thanks for the update on this, folks.

Is anyone able to confirm their audio set up?

Is it a standard audio connection from console to TV via HDMI, for example?

HDMI into Atmos receiver, xbox set to Atmos.

Seems to be when playing for extended periods of time. Shutting down and restarting fixes it.

It's definitely a lot less than it used to be.
