    Guard breaks interrupting dodge moves

Do I need to explain how trash this is? Characters that rely on dodge moves can get stopped right in the middle of them, pretty much negating that part of the kit. My orochi's back step move can be TRACKED with a guard break. My side step too.

Guard break. ITS IN THE ****ING NAME.
Dodge attacks are not guards. They are attacks. You might as well have my r2 be able to be interrupted by guard break. How is this even a topic?????? ITS ****ING CALLED GUARD BREAK. TO BREAK PEOPLE WHO ARE USING THEIR GUARD.

Meanwhile we have hyper armor monsters that can only be interrupted if you play a character with an unlockable guard break mechanic.

Unbalanced. Uneven. Bring respect back to the assassins. This is ridiculous.

I can tell you are new to the game. Instead of learning how the game plays, you come to the forum to complain about how the game isn't designed to your liking so you can win.

It doesn't matter what the move is called, Guard Break is the counter to dodge since you can't tech it if you're in dodge recovery or in heavy startup f.e. If your opponent notice that you dodge a lot, you will be punished for it, it's as simple as that.

Guard break is the counter to guard, but what do I know, I've only played since beta. I just decided to try my p24 orochi again for the first time in over a year and spent 10 minutes reversing guard breaks and top spamming because half of my kit is dodge specific and for some reason guard break means dodge attack break to you (and the developers). If it can break me out of a dodge ATTACK it should break hyper armor attacks. Hell make it so we can just guard break eachother out of everything and it'll just be a shoving match for 5 minutes.

The orochi is a counter attacker. His dodges are built to set up chains and cancel recovery time. If you remove his dodges, deflect moves are his only other character specific moves. Yes I can spend a whole match reversing guard breaks and trying to time deflects, and maybe even spamming my top light because its the only move that isnt overly telegraphed, but some of us like to use a characters whole moveset. Something about... idk... playing the game?

If you have something useful to say, feel free to share. Otherwise keep your "you must be new here" condescending comments on fortnite.

I dont have a problem with guard break, it's the tracking on it.

Guard break was made to combat people who were playing defensively, using their guard. It's in the name. It couldn't be more specific. It's not attack break.

My problem is that when I decide to counter an attack with a **counterattack**, the literal description of an orochi and how they are built to play the game, and somebody can feint into a guardbreak, teleport 5 feet and catch me on the down swing of an attack - its ****ing ridiculous. Like I said to the other guy, if you can break me out of a dodge ATTACK, my characters bread and butter, then I should be able to gb cents punches. GB thors grabs. GB every hyper armor attack, not while they're charging up, but at any point before it hits me.

I can sit around and reverse gb all match, but that is not fun. People know it negates the orochi's attack list and they're exploiting it. Drop the game back to original release mechanics with throw distance armor perks and everything. Every patch is a mistake.

Seems like I stepped on your toes there, I'm sorry about that. It's just that what you said is something we see all the time here "but I dodged! when you get guardbroken. If you get baited into dodge attacks by feints you can always try and shut down those feints with GBs of your own. Get a read on your opponent and try to catch him in H startup. Don't play predictable like always dodge-attacking everytime you see red or orange.

There is nothing more I can tell you. But rest assured, GBs will continue to catch dodging.
