    Vortiger change idea

    1. Bulwark stance: just make his throw automatic upon an attack attempt otherwise it's pointless. Half the time on console it doesn't work. Or, given the current new heros damage, his bulwark should flip should give 60 damage.

    2. Something needs to be done about his heavies. About 90 percent of them get parried. The other 10 percent are catching people you know will Dodge. It's easy to see why he is a spam hero. I don't know what to do with the heavies just that they are worthless.
    3. He runs out of stamina extremely quick.

I'm new to the hero but he is more difficult to use than any other hero I've played. I've faught against other Vs of higher Rep and it's all just spam. I like his looks is the only reason I'm playing him. He's definitely underpowered imo. Please politely share your opinion. Thanks.

hmm. i guess i completely disagree with about everything said there. bp is so easy, noobs can literally beat players of better skill. simple to play and i think he's still an S tier character no?

'Better skill.' Dude, this is a spam simulator. The one who wins is the one who spams harder. There's little skill involved. And if 'noobs can literally beat players of better skill,' doesn't that make them of the higher skill bracket?

I wouldn't mind slight changes to his bulwark. It feels awkward to use, at least to me. The animation delay throws me off.

He isn't built for heavies, he's built for shield spam. A bigger kit incorporating heavies would be nice, but unfortunately, that would mean Ubi would need to actually hammer out a decent kit. Seeing how they made Jorm kid friendly, I have little hope in that.

I don't mind his stamina. He's a turtle, built around the shield. Ubi seems to think he shouldn't be on the offense most of the time.

It's possible that I'm just bad with him. Not every hero is for everyone.

His bulwark is temperamental and isn't really worth using as the probability of success vs punishment isn't there unless it's automated. Your right that he is all bash. It isn't much different than feinting light spam though.

Bulwark should not be automated, it's a skill move. Tell me a character that throws neutral heavies except Cent and Shugo, cause that is all they can do

His shield bash should actually be nerfed, it's unpunishable ffs. He has an undodgeable attack he can mindgame with in case you try to dodge the bash, therefore the bash's recovery should be higher, so it can be punishable by gb. He was a nightmare when he came out. He did 20 dmg on a light and the follow up bash was almost guaranteed unless the game actually worked and let you dodged, but 85% of the time you ate 40 dmg on a light attack.

This character is viable, should actually receive nerfs like Shinobi

In my opinion, the current Bulwqrk Counter is the most well-designed mechanic in the game, with perfectly balanced risk/reward and usefulness for every situation. His shieldbashes might need some adjustment (especially the comboed one), but he is otherwise perfectly designed.

I stopped reading at the automaticly working 60 damage part. I can't imagine any idea that is at least close to good with this kind of neutral punish.

Have you guys tried using V against the new jorm? I know I'm new with the hero but he gets slaughtered every time. And on console his bulwark is temperamental. I've timed it perfectly and it still doesn't work.

And what can he do against a nabushi?

Jor hit does 60 damage, if from neutral, has distance, and has hyperarmor. Bulwark in my opinion has the same volnerabilty of a gb except the opponent your facing can go the gb. Again my opinion.

You can't get into bulwark when getting light spammed and that's fine. But to be cheated out of a bulwark hit just because of whatever reason is silly since it already has volnerabilties.

Only thing IMO that need a change is the recovery after the flip, before nerf was good enough for me. I like his heavy, also he has the UB heavy from full block and good hit boxes. You need to feint the heavy most of the time, after some feints just let it fly.I don't see BP as a noob pick and easy mode as other say, if someone abuse a certain move and still win then who is the noob there. If he is bashing from neutral, dodge bcs he can't delay the bash.If he rely on light bash light just block the first light, or parry or dodge attack him,you should have no problems dealing with noobs. The problems start when they start mixing and alternating the bash and using his kit, but now he ain't a noob, so in my opinion he ain't easy mode or noobs pick him and they do fine.So to OP: his bulwark is fine needs a recovery buff, maybe revert changes. His heavy s are fine, maybe remove the bug of late block in his chained bash this way people will dodge more often and instead of light bash light u can use light and undodgeable heavy so you can catch the dodger. Anyway from my experience i damage enemy's half the time when i let my heavy fly allready, you just need to keep your enemy guessing. As for stamina, it's not just him it's across the board, even jorg, the stamina bully utilise alot of stamina tu put you OOS. So if BP gets a stamina buff (tough i doubt it) so the rest of the cast should.

    It does 50.

I did not, but here is a tactic I will try when I will have time:

Block the first attavk, fastflow into fullblock. If you see orange, R1 to get a free 30 damage. If you see red indicator but no orange, same. If it's a heavy unblockable, you have to read the jorm a little, but if you leave late, it is unlikely that anything but a guardbreak comes out, they won't risk finishing the heavy or feinting into punch.
Neutral punch should be an easy dodge, one that can be beaten easily just by spacing.
Offense-wise, you can use anything you would like, just don't overcommit to anything if you have low stamina. Remember, the zone received a buff. Use the undodgable mixups as much as you want, they won't have any special tools against it.
