    Far cry 4 (not lauching on windows 10)

    I have been trying to launch farcy 4 but the only thing that shows up is that uplay checking for updated. then the game automatically closes I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but it still wont launch. I tried to run it as an administrator it still wont start up.
    Please help. (other games like FarCry 3 and FarCry 5 work perfectly well idk why farcry 4 wont launch).

    Please try running in compatibility mode for Windows 7 or Windows 8. This game isn't officially supported on Windows 10.

    If that doesn't help please give more details about your system requirements. Make sure your PC is running the dedicated GPU.

    Hey I tried running it in compatibility mode but it still did not work I also tried running it in the dedicated gpu settings but it dosent work. (like I see farcry 4 come up on my screen then the game just closes)
    My laptop config is as follows
    nvidia gtx 1050 ti
    16gb ram
    i7 7700 HQ
    64 bit
    windows 10

    Check your PC's Application Event Log to see any issues?
    Maybe the redist needs to be reinstalled.

    Just start the game, watch it not launch, then in the Event Application log there should be some event mentioned at the most recent timestamp

    The event log would mention something along the lines of "Entry point could not be found in msvcp140.dll", or if there's any other reference to a missing dependency (file).

    @DarkHorse822 You can also submit your MSINFO files over a ticket and the team can investigate this issue for you. Be sure to include what troubleshooting steps you've done so far on your ticket so we can provide proper assistance.
