lionden, lol I would've tried to tie em up, but I figured you'd want it full throttle all 3 rounds. I know what you mean about ppl backing out. Most of the time once they realize I'm diamond they're gone. For those that try, I like to tie the match up. That way we both win and maybe they'll want to go again. Even more so with so little time left in the season. There's no way I'm losing diamond, so why not help a couple ppl get a better division ranking. It'd be nice to have more races like ours though and have the session filled as well. I'm sure with the dlc release and the fixes they're working on we'll see a bunch come back and check things out. ... I'm on the east side, Mid Atlantic btw.
calculusman1084, The lack of time splits in tc is def a headache. Even if I don't have the chance to look at the actual time, the red or green is crucial when trying to beat a score. Really can't understand why they left that out.
Use the pro controller when it's undocked if your able to. That's the setup I was working with. That joy con analog is hard to master for throttle control. Definitely looking forward to more races. Maybe next time we'll both be docked and setup right .. and maybe I won't get stuck on that stupid obstacle on the everest track lol.
One of the great things about Trials is the longevity the games have. Even 5 years into Fusion's life there were new tracks in TC and people on the leaderboards to play against. I think there will be people around on Rising for some time, but the game should have been much more than that. A new game, especially with the cross platform features Rising has, could have been an opportunity to really grow the playerbase, but I think a lot of people were burned by the state of the game and have already written it off. On top of that, it's a lot easier for people to go back to Fusion than it was with Evo since it's on most of the same platforms as Rising.
Maybe the seasonal events and track packs will be an effective way to get people back in, but it feels like the business model hasn't been ironed out. Other games use content updates to keep people playing and feeling positively towards the game, which makes them more likely to spend money on microtransactions. If people have stopped playing Rising and feel negatively towards it, they won't be likely to spend acorns on a couple new tracks, so what's supposed to pull them back?
The Track Central UI is a disaster and undermines the whole game. This needed to be right day one and it’s disappointing to see there was/is no sense of urgency to address this. They should have drawn inspiration from the most successful Trials game - Evo - and include all the bells and whistles from Fusion.
