So I saw the post where ubi recommend tracks and looked up 404 mt hekla released 07/27/2019 and it have 242 riders just now. Don't forget rising publish all times from 4 consoles iirc.
Now let's see trials fusion, track name [UKR] cliff ramps ver.3 released 07/28/2019 and it have 290 riders on ps4, yes 290 riders just on ps4.
So is rising dead or is it the bad track central what you guys think?
Damn man that's pretty bad to see that fusion is getting more downloads on tracks than rising. I don't think rising Is dead but it is definitely time they did something about track central or it won't be long before it is dead. I think a lot of people are just waiting for track central to be redone so at the moment there are very few players hitting tc tracks.
I doubt I'm the only one unable to add TC tracks to my Favorites for two months and counting, so TC is dead to me.
Aside from that, low user base generally, terrible TC UI for anyone who tries to go looking, creators understandably don't want to put in the effort if they aren't going to be seen. It's all rather obvious, and it's also obvious how they could have fixed this a long time ago.
It's not so much the use of filters that's a problem, it's more that you "have to" use them. Same tracks have been on front page since newspapers first began printing and the only way to see new tracks is to look for them. The filters option is nice to have for when you want to use it but the old games with track central displayed a grid of track options that each updates themselves as downloads increase, nothing updates in present TC and so you are forced to manually search for new tracks yourself. We need a set of track options that are updated daily like highest rated trials/skill games this week, month, all time, etc. Track builders putting in hours and hours of work and nobody can see their tracks unless they know what they are looking for.
I think you're right, like I said the filter system is a great addition for when you want to find something particular but with the old fusion feeds all good tracks could kind of self promote themselves and downloads pushed them to the top, you could always see different tracks appearing, it gave riders more visible choice and builders more encouragement to build. Filters should be a second option.
The voting system needs work too, you cannot vote if you watch a replay straight after your run it returns you to a point where you have to download the track again and play it again to vote, most people will not bother
