OK, I have played this game since the free beta. I love the game and what it brings and I was from the first with the viking faction. BUT GOD DAMN... every one except warlord looks like a murdering hobo. Serious now, what is this idea that they were brutes?
The norse men were inventive, skilled, had a well defined society defined by commerce, farming and exploring. The armor they had was gambeson, lamellar, complete mail shirts , proper iron helmets that had a mail av-entail. Not "well protected leather armor", they had it, maybe but for clothing. Its expensive and offers low protection. So why bother?
And what we got, are some brutes that even in their society would of been cast off from the other people. That go in battle wearing "well protected leather armors" or with just beggar clothing and some of them with no helmet.
To continue the first statements, they had combs. They were in the habit of combing their hair every day, to bathe every Saturday, to change their clothes frequently and to draw attention to themselves by means of many such frivolous whims.
When they went to do trading and other things, women and men would flocked to them because they were CLEAN and well groomed. In this way, they sieged the married women’s virtue and persuaded the daughters of even noble men to become their mistresses. Not like they are portrayed in most of the games. (Savages / Brutes).
To close this post, I am just trying to make it clear to the developers that are in charge of the gear look. Not to change all of their hard work but to add some realistic and optimal gear for them. To give them more flavor.

Like they did with Knights. You know very well that they are knights.
WuLin, they look like chinese warriors.
Samurai, except for the wood gear. You can recognize all of them.
And then there are the vikings. Raider, berserker ( who doesn't even have bear fur on him ), shaman, all of them look almost the same, except the weapons. Murdering hobos.

Plus, give us the option to remove the horns on Raider and Valkyrie. They are literally the two heroes who you cannot remove the ornaments.

So guys, I just want the best for the game and I want them to know because they are going in a direction more than half of the viking players, brings a bitter taste in the mouth.

Yes, a lot of the Viking armour in this game over-relies on teeth, bones, and fur. I would like to see more chainmail, thick leather padding, scale and lamellar armour in future designs.

It wasn't a Hollywood thing but I agree that there is plenty of leather in the game. What about the other armour types that I mentioned in bold?

i Second that, i mean i love my warden, but my zerk looks like a beggar...

I agree, FFS I keep picking the same armor on Jormagandr because its the only one with shoes. I think they've taken the meme from D&D "murder hobo" too far.
