    Minigun needs a buff

    As it stands now, an M60 or M249 with gunner large pouch and the right talents is just as powerful or even more so than the minigun. This should never be the case.

    Our miniguns should instill the same fear that a Hyena or Black Tusk tank's minigun does to us. Their miniguns shred us, but ours don't do the same.

    The demo's grenade launcher can kill a tank with a full mag, but the gunner's minigun doesn't even strip the armor off of him.

    Please make the minigun more viable. The fact that we have to be out of cover should give us a dps increase over our lmg.

    Honestly feel like they should drasticly up the damage but make it hold 100 bullets instead, since reloading that thing is absurdly fast it isn't that much of a problem

    I run gunner most of the time for the large ammo pouch and the replenishment of ammo. The mini-gun, for me, is so weak I don't even bother to pick up its ammo anymore.

    Remind me again how I activate the Specializations? I haven't used the Minigun since I got it, it's just strapped to my back.

    I pick it up out of habit - but that thing only comes off of my back in the rare occasion that I miss hitting 3 with the Dodge holster.

    Specialization table in the BoO, to the right of Coop. Open it up and arrow over to the spec you want to use (if on PC) and activate.

    Problem is that the minigun has too much rof i mean most modern minigun even back in the 60's with the M-134 electric gatlin gun could shoot between 2,000-6,000 rounds per minute with a ROF at 2,000 that would be 86.5 rounds per second.

    Oh I didn't actually mean that, I meant how to actually hold it in your hands and fire it...I thought it was good down both bumpers but that's not working...

    I haven’t unlocked Gunner yet but I think a better way would be to place more emphasis threat generation/tank-like play styles with gunner. For example, you see a mini gun user in missions and they’re almost always a priority target. Now you could increase the damage but what does that accomplish besides still being outclassed or outclassing other specializations. Tac 50, is single target DPS weapon, Grenade Launcher is the AoE DPS, and Crossbow should be the armor breaker or Debuff weapon.

    Gunner needs to offer something the other specializations can not do. The one of the next two specializations are probably built around another play style an like anti-tech or tank buster.

    My AR destroys the MGs DPS output even with reloads. Just more proof that internal testing is non-existent or a joke at best. I'm sure the PTS must have shown this gun to be seriously weak and still nothing. Now we need another task force to tell the devs how to enjoy the games 'they' design. It's getting really old but like D1, really late.

    I'm gonna repeat myself but we are saying this since first iteration of TU4 PTS and result is... few nerfs. First dmg and ammo drops then again ammo drops. Dunno, are they reading our feedback backwards or what?

    Meanwhile they nerfed recently buffed TAC-50 because it was finally good, people were using it, devs can't have that it apparently wasn't designed for this.
